World of Harmony Music; Child's Play ~ A Beginner's Collection of 28 Favorite Childhood Songs for Zither, Lap Harp

We had one of these when our kids were small and it was well-tuned. This one arrived in good time, looked good, and was completely out of tune. I tried to tune it to a scale off of the Internet and found it to be impossible with the flimsy tuning tool included. My son, a professional musician and guitarist, spent 45 minutes tuning it and it was, and is, still out of tune.

I love it and I play with the music all the time it helps me relax

My 4 year old has begun playing my old MusicMaker harp, and I was so relieved to find this collection of music. So many of the sets I looked through were full of songs with which she'd have no familiarity. She LOVES these and plays them every day! I do wish the pages were a little wider. They slide about a 1/2 inch out the top of the harp which messes up the alignment of the notes and lines. I'm thinking of adding a bit of tape along the sides of the pages at the top to make them wider.

Another perfectly crafted collection of music from World of Harmony Music. These people are true professionals and the songs here are all perfect for the instrument you own. I have tried other sheet music and nothing is as good as what the World of Harmony people have created. I play these songs with my kids and they love them. Adults love the songs too. The mind has a tender place for musical memories. These songs bring back all the fun you had as a child and smiles appear all around. Playing music to your child is an activity they will never forget and cherish for the rest of their lives (I know I do). Even if you are not a musician, these songs are so easy to play that within moments your inner Motzart is released and your children will be mesmerized and wanting you to play more and more (which is a good reason to buy all the volumes of World of Harmony Music)!

Over all, quite good. I do want to speak to it as it relates to the Hape Happy Harp. In short, it's not totally compatible. It works, but not completely. You kinda have to jam it in/up to really get the notes to line up. In addition, a couple songs call for one note lower than what the Happy Harp has. I doubt my kid will care much, but still a bit disappointing.

Really nice music sheet. The material is thick and strong. The only surprise was that I had to cut the book to fit in the harp. I like it is bounded so there are no loose pages - in a preschool where many kids use the harp, this means a lot less mess and a lot less time spending on tidying up!

I am collecting these songbooks for my adult daughter. She has multiple severe disabilities, including cerebral palsy, and shrieks with joy as I help her play the lap harp (hand-over-hand with an adapted pick).I am also building my grandson's (4 yrs old) collection of the World of Harmony Music books. He is encouraged by the the fail-safe nature of playing both familiar and new songs.The books contain: tuning guide, notation rhythm lesson, playable melodies and lyrics. Since the songs are bound into a book, there is no losing the musical sheets as you might do with other products.Thank you for your amazing curriculum and dedication toward successful educational musical experiences.

I bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter to be used with a music lap harp. It is beginners music. It arrived on time, in perfect packaging, no wrinkled sheets of music. It fit perfectly under the strings of the lap harp. I tried to play a song and the notes lined up perfectly with the strings showing you which ones to pluck. I would buy this again and plan on getting her more difficult music from World of Harmony as her skills increase.
