Great set for purposeful.

I bought this set so I could better control the thickness of pastry and other dough, and so that I could finally have a silicone baking mat. This set filled those bills and much more! The thickness guides are very easy to change out, even for my arthritic hands. I had been used to using a rolling pin with handles before, and this one has none, however, it was very easy to get used to the different rolling method. This pin felt just right from the first use. I have used the fondant tools for crimping dough edges successfully, but only a few times. The bench knife is very well made; sharp enough to easily cut through dough but not so sharp as to cause harm. It washes easily by hand. The pizza roller is a God-send! I use it for pie shells (as well as pizza dough) before blind baking and it is wonderfully helpful! All in all this was a most excellent set and I highly recommend it!

This is a great set. I am an avid baker and am really happy with this set. I love the silicone mat to protect my countertops. It also helps me use less flour when rolling out cookies, so my cookies turn out better. The fondant tools are great for working with royal icing designs. The bench scraper is thin and sharp. The rolling pin is heavy, solid and of good quality. It does a great job and the adjustable rings help ensure my cookies are the perfect thickness each time. Very happy with this purchase! Highly recommended.

I was using a very heavy marble rolling pin and was looking for something that would be easier to handle. After searching and comparing for some time decided to go with this product but was a little skeptical because it was quite inexpensive and there are quite a few items included. No regrets at all about this purchase even though I did get a couple of items I didn't need.The main thing is the rolling pin itself. It is very light weight but I've had no problems rolling out bread dough for cinnamon bread, dough for Loft house cookies and pizza dough. Works very well. Especially like being able to use the adjustable add-ons to control the height so that I was able to roll out the cookie dough evenly to the perfect height so all of the cookies were the same size. The roller is wooden so I would never wash it in the dishwasher or soak it, but it does clean well using a cloth. I did treat it with a little oil after I washed when it arrived.The silicone pad turned out to be something I didn't think I needed to something I now wonder how I managed so long without. It's very thin but lays flat on the counter. It's a breeze to roll out the dough so that you get the correct size with no guessing. Washes very easily. Before this purchase I used the heavy rolling pin and a heavy glass cutting board to roll dough out. The light-weight rolling pin and silicone mat makes it infinitely easier. Also love having the measurements on the mat so don't have to guess on the size.Wasn't sure at all about the white roller with prongs. When I make pizza dough and roll it out, I used to use fork prongs to puncture it slightly to keep it from bubbling up. Rolled this device over the dough and it worked better than the fork prongs. Other than that, I have no idea what it is really for!!I had to look up the blue things to try to figure out what there were. Turns out they're primarily to use to make little decorations or designs on the dough. Doubt that I'll ever use them, but if I had young children that liked to make cookies or pies, I'm sure these would be fun for them to use.I kept the box and use it to store everything in it after each use. Keeps everything organized and takes up a lot less space than if I was trying to find a place for each item.Would definitely recommend this item.

I love the concept of the pin, but I specifically got this product because I wanted the silicone mat that's included. It seemed really nice the first two uses, but afterwards I noticed that the edges were becoming very frayed. It also has trouble staying flat and comes up with the dough when I'm rolling it unless I spray the counter with water to act as a temporary adhesive under the mat. The pin is great, I would just want to warn the people like me who are purchasing this specific one for the mat!

Can't wait to use this when I start holiday baking... it will help me roll out cookie dough evenly which will help make the cookies come out better. I like that the mat has measuring guidelines on it. It will simplify everything and save time while I'm cooking and baking. I also like to make bread and usually use my granite countop to knead the dough, but I will now use this large mat and keep my counters clean. Great set of kitchen tools if you like to bake.

They seem to have a bit of trouble counting. They claim there are seven decorating tools but the photos show eight. I got eight. They claim there are five cookie cutters but the photos show 4. I got four stars. These were the worst part of the set. Very flimsy. The mat is a good size and functions well. Only one mat. The rolling pin seems well made. The spacers are sturdy and screw tightly into the pin. They are 10 mm/ 3/8", 6 mm/ 1/4" , 3 mm/ 1/8" , 2 mm/ 1 /16" . The pizza roller looks delicate. The dough cutter has a five and three quarter inch scale etched into it. It is a quarter inch wider with a comfortable hand hold.
