Genuine Carbon Fiber License Plate Frame - Tag Registration 100% Real Premium Quality 3D Twill Weave Light Weight - Aggressive Overlays (Slim Line Frame 4 Hole)

I searched for awhile and read a lot of reviews to find a good looking carbon fiber plate frame and went with this one. So far, so good. The weave looks legit, good glossy coating, and the frame is stiff and sturdy. I discovered that the frame has “tall” walls, so I added some 3M foam strips to the back of my plate so it sits flush with the frame and doesn’t rattle.Not sure if it’s real carbon fiber or what it is laid on, but it looks real and not like those cheap looking prints. This frame has that depth that you get from legit weaves. I would recommend this plate frame. I will provide any updates as time goes on about the long term quality of this.EDIT: 9/8 update. After 2 years the clear coat has started peeling and chipping away. I would have preferred it to still be nice after only 2 years, but I didn’t expect much.

The frame was delivered a day early and was packaged nicely. I must say it was much better than expected. The finish is high quality with just the right amount of gloss and and a perfect carbon fiber weave. I didn't want anything too bling on my Range Rover and this gives a nice clean and expensive look. Yeah! It would have been nice to have some custom screws included but I was able to find some cool ones at the hardware store. Great customer service from the team with a follow-up email. I will buy another for the front license plate.

I have to say the over all quality of the frame seems good, mine arrived a little twisted. Not really bad but enough of a twist that it did not lay flat.I went ahead and installed it and it looks flat with no twist. I do not feel that it really makes much of a difference once it's on and I do feel it's a quality product I just can't give it 5 stars due to the way I received it.

Giving this five stars despite the fact that the oversized holes are an issue. I had to get quarter-inch washers, which of course are shiny unfinished metal, and paint them black so that they would not stand out against the frame. Before I painted the washers black, I painted them with a rust-resistant primer. So, you can't just put them on your car because the holes are bigger than the ends of the screws. I consider this to be a design flaw. Even so, the construction is excellent. The frame is thick, so it does not warp, and the finish is awesome.

1. somewhat expensive.. because it's carbon fiber?2. holes are too big you'll likely need some kind of washer or a screw with a wide head.3. a little too deep. you'll probably need a longer screw. also, the plate might not be snug between the frame and the bumber so it could rattle. in my case i also installed a bracket so the plate sits between the frame and the bracket, and the bracket i have also fit in the frame.4. the glossy finish might take away from the carbon fiber look if your car have other non-glossy carbon fiber trims. otherwise it's ok. if it matches your other glossy carbon fiber trims then its just swell!.. .10/22/2016It actually looks better now than when I initially installed it.. Also forgot to mention it's very light compared to stainless frames.. Simple, clean, understated look..Raising to for stars..Lower price, Matte finish availability, and fix frame depth and hole size will get this product five stars..

Well packed. Really nice quality plate frame. Took no time at all to swap out the ugly dealer frame for this carbon fiber one. Looks 100% better. Now it looks like a car enthusiasts car. Ha-ha. Used the "cruiser accessories 82650" black fastener caps to cover the screw heads and finish off the look. The caps also are large enough to mount the cover firmly as well as cover the gaps from the larger holes in the cover. I finished it off with some double sided tape that I slipped between the cover and the plate to be sure it didn't rattle.And a Brembo sticker for personalization!

I was very impressed with the license plate frame as soon as I unpacked it, so much so, that I immediately ordered a second one for my other vehicle. Quality seems to be built into this product; however, if in the future this quality comes up short, I will definitely update my review. License plate frame is pricy, but I believe that it is worth the money.

(UPDATED 5-27-2018 further below) I purchased this CF frame a little over a year ago (June 2016) for use on the rear plate of my vehicle. For about the first 8 months or so the frame looked awesome, but it then started to show signs of fading and much to my surprise, the clear coat started to peel (see attached photos). As it stands now, the clear coat has begun to flake off in several locations, and frankly, it just looks bad now. The frame appears to indeed be real CF, but, that means nothing in terms of the aesthetics once the clear coat starts peeling off. This isn't rocket science - folks like me just want a decent product that looks good, and lasts, and I don't mind paying for quality. But, based on my experience, this is not quality, and a simple license plate frame, CF or otherwise, should last longer than a year. I don't recommend this product, unless you are ok with the short life-span. I may now pull the frame off and wrap it with 3M CF wrap, because I know it doesn't fade or degrade in sunlight. Disappointed, yet admittedly, not completely surprised based on the dwindling quality of virtually everything these days...UPDATED 5-27-2018:So it has been almost two years that I have had this CF frame on the back of my truck, and I finally got around to removing it as it looks just so darn bad...lol. I have attached two new pictures to illustrate how this product has deteriorated over the course of less than two years. It looked great for a little while, but now, it just plain looks awful! Not sure how many other folks have had problems with the clear coat delaminating, but I sure have. Obviously at this point I'm confident in saying this frame was not worth 30 bucks. That said, I still give it two stars because it did look good, albeit for a short time....lol.
