    Dark perfection.

Something about this album really resonates with me and I haven't been able to stop listening to it since it arrived. I've been an IAMX fan for quite some time now and bought all of the albums as soon as they were released but, to my shame, I didn't rush out to buy Metanoia after feeling slightly disappointed with The Unified Field. Unlike most of IAMX's other releases, The Unified Field just didn't reach out and grab me; it felt almost insincere. However, Metanoia is another creature altogether! Wow...why did I wait so long to buy it? Metanoia, in my opinion, is truly near perfection. The lyrics feel intensely truthful and profound and every track is tinged with a noticeable darkness - more so than in any previous albums. A real return to form and I can't wait to see them again Manchester in June!

I love this album. I know it came out of the personal issues of Chris Corner but god, it's worth it for the listener. Wonderfully produced, powerful, diverse, personal, and his voice sounds amazing. His best album since The Alternative.
