**Q: I have a pastitsio recipe that calls for 1 lb of lasagna noodles but I would rather use these authentic noodles.  Would one or two packages suffice?**
A: I would not use lasagna noodles for pastitsio. I use Misko #2. I would use 1 package for the recipe I use. Not knowing your recipe and the size of pan, it is difficult to be precise.

**Q: Is this pasta Hollow inside?**
A: Yes, the pasta is hollow inside.  We wanted to make pastichio so I asked a co-worker who was born in Greece if she had an authentic recipe.  She graciously gave me her mother's recipe for the dish and said I should find a Greek store to look for the real noodles.  While on the phone with her I looked at Amazon and shared my screen - she said this is the exact noodle and brand she was encouracing me to find.The dish tasted great.

**Q: this is written in greek so how long to boil it for a little more than al dente softness?**
A: Hi Raven - if you are making Pastichio, I would boil for 11 minutes then take out and cool immediately or they will all stick which is no biggie.  But afterwards you usually throw on the eggs with cheese.  If you are cooking to eat as actual noodles - then I would cook for at least 11-13 minutes.  That is what the packages says.  I would throw it on for 11 try on and see if it's Al Dente enough for you and go from there.  I will tell you I always do 15 minutes when I am using them as noodles.  Hope this helps!

**Q: can you use this pasta as a straw?**
A: I wouldn't.  If it stays in a liquid too long it would get gummy like all dried pasta.
