Great product, great service
I don't want to give the details, because it will seem like I'm saying bad things about the product, but... Through no fault of the seller, it took nearly six months to get this product. They are in China, I am in the US. This is 2020. That should tell you everything you need to know about that situation. When the neck didn't come in the first time, I talked to the seller, and he very kindly shipped me another. He even offered to upgrade me to the maple fretboard, but I really needed the rosewood for my project. When the neck didn't come in the second time, I asked for a refund. I felt really bad, because I knew that the seller had no fault in this whatsoever.Well, now, months later... Both necks have come in the mail. So, having gotten two for the price of none... I thought the least I could do was offer a glowing review. Both necks are gorgeous. The rosewood is beautiful. You can tell it was hand-selected for the best grain. The one I've chosen to use for my project (on the right, already has some work done on it) has this beautiful red stripe flowing down the middle. I love it.The two necks are nearly identical, which speaks to the consistency of the maker. They came in rough, with no oil on the fretboard, and needing fretwork, but I actually prefer that. Gave me some work to do, which is the fun part for me. lol In the pictures, I've already oiled the fretboards on both (using Crimson Guitars Oils, which I HIGHLY recomment).I don't know that it really needs much fretwork though. The frets are already so flat and even... Mostly, it was just rounding down the sides.Really, no complaints. A couple of spots of dried glue, came right off with very little effort. If anything, my only complaint is that it's too perfect. There's not really a lot for me to do.Would buy again, would recommend.

Subtle disaster
Everything seemed good on first inspection (wood quality, frets, etc.), so I called it a win and got to work doing all the detail work - reshaping to my preferred profile, leveling the frets (def. needed on this neck, unfortunately) and cleaning them up, refinishing the headstock, etc. A ton of work, but looked beautiful once I attached it to the body, and I was psyched to try it out…except…something about it seemed off? So I checked and re-checked everything I’d done, re-did the setup a half-dozen times, but nothing helped and I was stumped. Finally figured out the issue - the neck had a slightly compound radius (which is good), but it is reversed (which is very bad). Meaning: I measured it at roughly 10” to 14”, except it flattens out moving towards the headstock. I figure it must have just been glued on backwards, prior to laying in the frets? But now I’m left with a guitar that looks great, but is no fun to play. Ultimately my fault for not measuring the radius prior to investing all that time and energy, but still…

Seriously?
How could they even send this out to a customer? Also all the images show binding. There’s no binding. I wish Amazon would vet their suppliers a little.

I’m torn
I picked this neck up a while back to be used at a later date. I gave it the once over when it came in to make sure it was straight and in good shape and was initially pretty impressed, then it got stored until current projects were completed. Pulled it out recently to give it a good once over for a new project and while still basically impressed, and the neck is still straight every single fret was so sharp they’d slice your hand open. As I started looking them over they looked like they’d been hammered in with a rock. 3/4 of them weren’t seated properly…which, at the end of the day is a blessing because they all need to come out and be replaced. That being said, it is a nice piece of maple, and a beautiful piece of rosewood. Once these are done correctly, I should have a very nice neck.
