One-Stop Review
Hello and thank you for reading my review on Bosch's Double-Iridium Spark Plugs, Bosch part # 9602, which I have personally installed into my 2009 Cadillac CTS 3.6L along with a full set of 6 Bosch ignition coils. My car was misfiring badly. Since I did the work, it runs like a dream, with better gas mileage. A mechanic offered to do JUST my plugs for $300. $300! I left and never called him back. That is so expensive, and it takes experienced mechanics less than an hour from start to finish. It takes most people an hour. Maybe 2 if you have to remove lots of things to get at the spark plugs or if you're super meticulous. Items I used: 1. x6 double-iridium spark plugs 2. Spark plug gapper 3. Compressed air in a can (for guaranteeing nothing falls into any of the plug housings) 4. 3/8" Ratchet 5. 3/8" x 8" Ratchet Extension 6. 3/8" Ratchet Flex Head (very convenient to have this) 7. 10mm socket. 8. 3/8" Spark Plug Socket 9. Code reader (to check codes after the work is finished). 10. 3 hours if you're inexperienced, 2 if you're also replacing the ignition coils, 1 if it's just the spark plugs. 11. Flat head screwdriver These plugs are coated with nickel plating, so you don't need anti-seize during installation. Nickel plating prevents corrosion, which is the purpose of anti-seize. - As of the date of my order (July 2024), the listing does say 'Single'. These ARE single plugs only. They changed the listing from a 'Pack of Four' to 'Single' a long time ago. Funny thing though, I ordered 6 singles and received four 4-packs plus 2 singles for a total of 18 of these iridium spark plugs, lol. Thanks Bosch & peeps! I'm all about having spares. Returning would be an extreme hassle bc of how the orders are, so I'm just keeping them. - I read every single review here under 5 stars. There are several that are under 5 stars, yet all except one of them are due to people expecting a pack of four, bc that's how they were listed back in 2020 and for who knows how long after. The only negative review I could find that's actually relevant to the product quality itself was literally only one person who DIY'd it and 3 out of 8 plugs had broken. He didn't know if it happened in shipping, or if he accidentally broke the ceramic part on the 3 spark plugs himself during the install. I will say this though: the probability that it was Bosch's fault is next to zero. The probability that the ceramics hairline-cracked during shipping or he dropped a box and didn't see the damage before using them? Probability nearly 100%. What this ultimately means is that out of ALL reviews, every single one of them SHOULD rightfully be 5-star for a quality product at a great price - BUT, unfortunately as always, several people left 4-stars (and even a couple 3-stars) despite their accompanying awesome reviews. Sigh... They give something 3 or 4 stars, and then they leave a glowing review saying they're totally satisfied, happy, even 'at peace'! Rating products 3 stars bc of shipping that is out of the sender's control is laaame. Sigh. It is so very annoying, and it's harmful to everybody. Especially to the vendor, who deserves the best for supplying the best. Messing with their family income, their business reputation, messing with our experience, complicating things, grrrrr. Entitlement.... the bane of our existence. - The spark plugs arrived as expected and in excellent condition. All were mfg in Germany, as it should be. Some were mfg in 2015, some in 2022, but it doesn't matter. Spark plugs don't expire or go bad in storage unless stored improperly. Upon close inspection of every single plug, all were in perfect condition. - Although they come pre-gapped, odds are you need to gap them yourself anyway. Just be extremely careful, as iridium plug tips can break if you look at them the wrong way! After they're gapped, it's easy to mess up the gap by being careless. Or by DROPPING them into the spark plug housing. You need to carefully lower each one into the hole. I do not recommend using a magnet to lower them. Just fit them into the spark plug socket that's attached to the extension, flex head, and ratchet, and lower in carefully. - I use bungee cords to keep many things out of my way while working. - Clear all codes, drive tbe vehicle a solid 30 minutes, then check the codes again. - If there was oil on any of the removed plugs, you may have to replace the valve cover or you may have a blown head gasket. You'll just have to cross that bridge when you come to it. I'll update if I think of anything else or if the plug(s) fail. I doubt they will. I hope this helps answer some questions :) thanks again have a great day and happy DIY'ing! And congrats on saving yourself hundreds of dollars by utilizing wisdom! Good luck!

Made in Russia, but works just like the German!
So I received these plugs and noticed "made in Russia" on the box. I did a little bit of research and sure enough, they are authentic. Bosch manufactures these in different countries (China, USA, Germany, Russia,...) and there is no difference in quality since they are all under Bosch quality control and license. In fact, 4 of the plugs in my car are Russian and the other are German. Excellent quality, don't be alarmed, it's all authentic!

Real quality and performance
GM uses iridium plugs from the factory for good reason. They are reliable, minimize misfire, perform well and last. Bosch plugs are good quality and the price is right. Don't waste time and money on gimmick plugs with funny electrodes, they are short-lived and the standard iridium will actually perform better. If you want a slight power increase that's real, install a set of Moroso 71900 Spark Plug Indexing Washers with them, it's an old racing trick that's good for a couple HP.

Item is not listed correctly.
This is a solid product. But the listing is incorrect. The listing clearly states for a pack of 4 but only 1 arrived. I’m not the only one with this issue. Amazon needs to fix the listing.

Fits 2007 chevy tahoe.
Perfect fit for my vehicle. Even though they are advertised to not need anti seize, it's still good to apply it to help protect the engine blocks threads from corrosion. Noticed my vehicle running smoother and quieter when these were installed. My throttle body went bad and my system ran rich for a while and burned my old spark plugs gap wide open. Can't say anything about life span or fuel economy but I hope they improve the mileage from what it is at now. Also a little scotch tape or something would be really good at the both ends of the boxes for shipping. 1/3 of my ordered spark plugs were rolling around outside of their boxes but they all had card board sheaths over the electrode ends to protect them.

As advertised
Had one plug fail…. Bought one at local big box parts store…. Found the exact same plug from this vendor for 30% percent less…. I liked that I was able to buy 7 individually to complete the set
