Ok, I have a pure bred Pug who will be 16 in September. She has a cough that is terrible, it's been like this probably the last 3/4 years. It's daily at this point but can turn and get more frequent then develops into a goose like honk, wet/girgly coughing, and hacking like there is something stuck in her throat. My vet is on speed dial, we have tried every medication we can! The vet prescribed hydrocodone for my terrier mix’s prolapsed trachea. Since it’s a controlled substance, it was very inconvenient to make a trip to the vet every 6 wks for a new written script & then take it to the pharmacy. Plus, if I gave my dog a whole tablet, it basically put her to sleep. A half tablet allowed her to live like a normal dog but with w/fewer bouts of coughing. This product is about as effective as the half tablet of hydrocodone, costs about the same, & is a whole lot more convenient. My dog still coughs but not as often, not as long, & not as loud. Both of us can sleep better at night with a dose in the am & a second dose in the pm. I definitely recommend it.

Was very excited to try this product to see if it could reduce my dog's coughing. I gave him the drops twice a day for about two weeks. Unfortunately, it didn't seem to help his cough.

This works so good! My 14 year old chihuahua Bella has a heart murmur and collapsing trachea. She is seeing a cardiologist and primary vet. When Bella started coughing more often, the vet prescribed a medication but it was very difficult to find a pharmacy that would have it for us, so I tried this in the meantime while waiting for the meds. This soothed her cough from the first dose. I ended up telling the vet that I am using this and if it stops working I will see about the medicine. The vet agreed. So far I used it for about a week and then I stopped since she was not coughing and it's been several days now and she does not cough. !!WARNING!! READ BELOW!!I started giving this to my dog a night ago, making sure to give the correct amount for her weight. Didn’t think anything of it as she reacted normal to it. The following morning, I gave her the same amount. About 20-30 minutes later she threw up and went to use the bathroom and had a SEIZURE. I called poison control and while there are no recalls for this product, it does contain lead and I was advised to not use it moving forward. My dog is an elderly dog and while she could have an underlying problem that caused her to have a seizure, I found it odd that it happened right after I gave this product to her. As of now, we are still waiting for her to be checked up by the vet.

My pom was recently diagnosed with collapsed trachea and it's been a rough month. He'd cough constantly and going to the vet didn't really help. Read online that this would help soothe his throat and it has been a godsend. He barely coughs/wheezes anymore and his temperament has gotten significantly better. Cannot recommend this enough if your dog has issues with their throat. Just mix the recommended dosage with their water twice a day.
