Maison--Christian Liaigre

Very nice book, I have really enjoyed reading it.The way photos are paged is not always very useful in the way that they have placed a lot of images in the pages and so they are quite small and some of them are repeated.However the book is well done.My not nice mark is due to the fact that I was looking for the most recent Liaigre's book so I bought from Amazon this publication because in the website is dated 2014. The book is actually a reprint of first edition published on 2004. It was disappointing not having this information, however, again, it is a nice book.

Christian Liagre is an artist beyond the usual confines of space filling. He always considers the architecture and site before anything else. And even though his work is immediately recognizable, he never repeats himself- there is nothing formulaic.Nothing ever screams money. The finishes, the light, the mix are always beautiful and comfortable.So while I got the book hoping to see a substansial review of his work, I was dissappointed in the chopiness and lack of ability to "see" the house and rooms shown. The designers work saves the book, because it is so complex and interesting. Poor choices in views and cutting off of vistas and lack of detail make the book fail.

A very un inspirational book. The pictures do not show or speak what the rooms may look like. And if this is how they do, they are very boring.One buys a book to see and learn not to be taken by pictures about a tiny detail. Seems as if they are afraid to be copied, in that case why do they go public? To trick the buyer?

Supreme! If you want a single beautiful book to demonstrate what true talent can accomplish with the entire spectrum of scale in residential design__ this one is it. Liaigre has the brain-wattage to be versatile and deeply appropriate, whatever the context. So few do.

CL is such a talent. Beautiful book to add to a coffee table vignette or bookshelf.

Even though this book was published some years ago, the interiors Christian creates really are timeless and so the book is as valuable as a wonderful reference as ever.

This is my go to book for interiors inspiration.

Liaigre showcases a very refined, clean, taste but doesn't seem human nor fun/interesting.His style shines as dictatorial and monolithic.His pricing policy -the studio- outrageous. FYI Adolfo Dominguez is a client.Excellent book to decorate the apartment of a bureaucrat or a government official.

Minimalismus pur und viel Liebe zum Detail, das zeichnet Liagre aus. Meine Erwartungen wurden voll und ganz erfüllt, ein wunderschönes Buch das man immer wieder in die Hand nimmt und sich inspirieren lässt.
