Inexpensive but still good.
Good value. One of the few vhfs that you do not have to lug a round a giant charger. USB cable and thats it. Sounds good on both ends. It is my backup and for anchorage dinghying. Inexpensive enough to not worry about losing it.

Good Quality and Cheap
I currently found myself Fishing and boating as I progressed to Coast Gaurd waters. Basically Brackish waters or bays, Delaware River. Needed a radio so I installed a nice radio fixed to the boat. Soon discovered I can't hear anything off the boat at the docks or even during a nightly stay at a marina. So I bought this hand held radio. Easy on battery life and works flawlessly. I started using it to communicate with my boat buddies while loading naturally on a open channel deemed for recreational use. Hit up a local lake where really only few boats have a radio since its inland. Guy broke down. To tow him I handed him this hand radio to communicate with me on my boat as I pulled him in. Definitely worth the buy. Gets about 2 to 3 miles range but can hear everything along as they have long range. Never used it yet to contact in a emergency and hope I never have to.

Capable handheld
Surprisingly capable little handheld. Just unable to pick the advertised NOAA weather channels, but super handy in the ICW traffic

Great Radio!
This handheld VHF appears nearly identical to my more expensive mainstream brand and works just as well! A friend has ordered one for his boat and I will be buying at least one more!
