I thought it would be good but I was blown away with how effective and fast this little boat it.However, a word of warning, this boat is very fast and it comes with a recommendation that it is not meant for children under 14, i initially thought my little 4 year old boy might be able to have a go. Not a chance! This hits speeds of 20KM/H.The boat is made from quite a sturdy plastic. That isn't to say if it hit the wall at full speed it wouldn't get damaged, but it may be able too take a few blows. However thanks to the excellent control it can stop on a dime. The remote is very springy and responsive too, overall it feels well made.This little boat is shockingly fast and sounds awesome, I have a lake across from my house. The kids were here for the weekend, they are 5,6 too young to do it by themselves but they help steer and turn the boat with help. The boat goes very fast and cuts corners like you would not believe. I got about 10 mins from each battery.I would recommend this with great confidence!

The media could not be loaded. Absolute fun. The boat looks like a miniature real speed boat. Rides very fast and even the sound gives the feel of driving a speed boat. It comes with an extra battery that can be swapped for extend play time. The battery itself lasts long. The top panel needs to be removed for swapping the battery. It is a bit tricky opening the hatch. You need to push forward the hatch after unlocking the knob. It is a water proof seal with a rubber liner inside to avoid any water seepage, if the boat goes upside down. It will never drown and if the boat turns upside down, it is easy to get back upright. All you do is push forward and back on the remote a few times. To get back upright.The built is solid and we did play in the swimming pool first before putting it in lake. The boat body handles the impact nicely even when it collided with wall of the pool Not even a scratch.Overall lots of fun. Highly recommend get this if you want to try RC speed boats.

I bought this as a gift for a child, and he absolutely loves it. The instructions were clear, and the boat was operable right out of the box.What amazed us was how FAST this boat goes! It can make sudden turns and it never flipped. The only down side is that the battery only lasts for a few minutes, but those minutes are worthwhile for the children who get to play with it.PROS- Fairly easy to operate- 2 batteries for extended play- LCD display to show signal strength- Function to flip the boat if it is upside down- USB rechargeable so you can charge the 2nd battery with a battery pack while enjoying the boat with the first one- Function to limit the boat's speed for those who are not yet skilled enough to control it- Can move backwards- Anti-collision design- Parts are user replaceable- Fail-safe function: will not turn on outside of water. Don't be alarmed if it does not work on landCONS- Control can occasionally be jammed if there are other operators who control at the 2.4 GHz radio frequency- No test button to see that the boat works. It will only turn on when placed in water- Battery takes about 2 hours to charge from empty for only 8 mins of play time, but that is normal for RC boats/carsOverall, this is a fun, speedy boat. Over all very happy. Its absurd how fast it is in a really fun way and pretty rad I can flip it back over on its own without having to put the remote down and stop playing with it.Pros: Very simple to use. We put it in our pool and the dogs chase around trying to figure out what it is and its a ton of fun to play with. The remote synced as soon as the boat touched water and we were off.Battery Life: only reason for the 4 in battery life is, one charge does not last as long as I would like. This being said I have never had an RC anything before so I have zero understanding on how long others last.only con: I didn't pay much attention when I opened the boat up to put the battery in. Took me a minute or so, to figure out how to set the front so the back would snap into place.

Bought this RC Boat for my son for Christmas. He loves it!! He did not wait to charge it up and get it on the water even though it was 20 degrees outside. The boat ran very well and proved to be a lot of fun. The battery life was expected. I read many reviews on the battery life on many different brands of RC boats so I was well prepared for the 10 - 20 minute battery life depending on how hard you drive it. I purchased 3 battery's and always have one charging while one is powering the boat. This allows for a good 30 minutes or longer of play time.

Update: The company reached out to us and offered a refund or replacement. We chose replacement and received it very quickly. My son was over the moon with this solution. Hoping to take it on its maiden speedboat-age soon.Original Post:My son used his Christmas money to buy this remote controlled speedboat. It was so cool and fun when he first put it in the water. After 1 use (nothing unusual happened to cause it to break) it stopped working. We were told it wasn’t eligible for refund or replacement. My husband suspected that my son got a lemon and that it probably wasn’t a typical outcome, looking at other reviews, but when your 10-yr-old uses all the money he has for a cool toy after considering what to use it on for months and gets less than a day of fun out of it, it’s a huge letdown and a sucky life-lesson to have to learn so early. Boat in the trash, son bummed out, I hope if you order you don’t get a lemon.
