## Description

K&N’s four-step air filter maintenance system is designed to clean any K&N oiled cotton air filter—removing contaminants and build-up in order to help restore filter performance. POWER KLEEN industrial strength degreaser helps dissolve dirt, old filter oil, and other filter-clogging particulates, allowing them to be rinsed away easily with water. Review: It worked - my K&N air filter is now clean! - Might be hard to tell from the first picture, but my K&N air filter was DIRTY! I am ashamed to say that I purchased my air filter in 2013 and before now I had never cleaned it. When my car didn't pass CA SMOG, I went online and found this cleaning kit. After using the filter cleaner 3 times (letting it sit 10 minutes before rinsing each time) I finally decided it was as clean as it was going to get, and boy was the water filthy the first 2 rinses! My mechanic did cation me about re-oiling it though, he recommended to only put a thin layer of oil because if it gets too thick it could drip down and get into the air intake, which could negatively effect a smog test. That didn't happen and the kit worked! Now I have a clean and freshly oiled air filter (2nd photo) and my car passed smog! I plan to clean my air intake now every 2 years before my smog test, and there is enough of the cleaner and the oil left in the bottles to be able to do this several more times with this kit. Very happy with this purchase!

**Q: What is the differenve between the black oil and the rd oil in the 99-5000 cleaner kit?**
A: One will make your filter red the other one will make your filter black

**Q: can this be used on dirt bike air filter ?**
A: Yes, on any K&N filter

**Q: This keeps saying cotton filter, my air filter is not cotton will it still work?**
A: Yes, it should still work. You might put a little oil just on one spot first and make sure it's compatible.

**Q: Why is the black oil more expensive than the red when they are the same formula?**
A: I don't know except I have used both and the black seems to flow into the filter better than the red. That's all I know.

This isn’t hard to do, but I might not have bought a reusable filter if I’ve known I had to buy a 20 something dollar kit to clean it every time I needed to use it improve gas mileage airflow. It helps with odor removal.
