Buy this product.A few years ago, a designer I admire commented that she changes her entire home every few years, but the one single thing she cannot live without is her soap magnet. I had to have one and was so grateful I found this one over a year ago. This soap magnet consistently gets raves. Everyone wants to have one. I try to buy one in every city I go to and people rarely know what a soap magnet is, and I've never seen them stocked. I've purchased several different models from Amazon, and this one is definitely my favourite. It's solid and beautiful. It is amazing how long soap lasts when on a soap magnet. I prefer a bar to "soft soap" in a pump because I don't want to expose myself and others to the formaldehyde found in liquid soaps. Lovely handmade soap bars are no longer an indulgence as they last much longer on the soap magnet than a soap pump lasts. Soap bars dry when hung on the soap magnet after use, and there are no bubbles, puddles or scum on any surfaces. Amazing. Also, the chrome looks great and I only dust and polish it once a week as that's all it needs.

Bought this for a gift for my dad, hard to buy for. He thought it was a neat idea. It is meant to be for a hotel size bar of soap, but works great with a regular size as well.

I bought the old style Traymor soap holder with the round base 20+ years ago and loved it. Unfortunately, it got rusty and needed to be replaced. I decided to go with this new design because it looked nice and modern in the photo. However, all those flat chrome surfaces look more like mirrors than chrome, and they highlight the water spots. It's just TOO shiny. I returned it and ordered one of the old style. Unfortunately, I think it has been discontinued, so there aren't many left out there. Hopefully Traymore will bring back the old design!

Really the concept of the magnetic soap holder. I don't know why these are not more common. Taymor is one of the only manufacturers of this product available in the U.S. Limited styles and quality is okay. I purchased two of these and one arrived with the magnet detached from the stand. I have purchased four of these in a different style previously for my use and as presents. Two arrived with the magnets detached as well. A little epoxy fixes it but they should have better quality control. I could return, but easy enough to fix and there would be a 50/50 chance the replacement would need to be fixed as well.

This is a fantastic product. I hate soap dishes, and have tried every "automatic" soap dispenser available. This is the solution to the problem. It holds a regular size soap bar perfectly, and the water drips directly into the sink. Soap lasts substantially longer, without any disgusting residue.If you are puzzled on how this works, you press the lower magnet into the bar. By running water over the soap, move the loosened excess over the exposed magnet. Let it dry, and voila! Your soap is now magically attached to the handle. I find that this works best with goat milk soap (rather than the very dense Dove bars), or small hotel-size bars.Of course, being stainless steel, water spray will cause spotting. This is inevitable, and was expected before purchasing. Clean occasionally with a towel, and it will look great!

Awesome concept and functionally perfect.Aesthetically pleasing if not for the rust formation.I would give this a 5-star rating if not for the rust.This soap holder started to rust along the edges of both the base and arm within weeks.This is unacceptable when the selling point is the shape and artsy design.

Love this soap holder. I actually had the same one that I bought from an in-home MLM company years ago and when I saw it on amazon, I bought a second one so I could get rid of the soap dispensers in our master bath. I love how functional it is. There’s none of the mess like with soap dishes, and it reduces waste as well as cost. I didn’t have trouble with the magnet or with the metal attachment coming out - you just have to make sure you push it in really well. Matches the decor and looks much better than a dispenser. An all around win!

Works great, but put something under it, like a soap dish. It permanently discolored my counter after a year.Also, it's pretty hard to keep it looking clean. It easily gets water marks from every splash.
