It securely holds your phone in an optimal position for easy access, ensuring a damage-free installation that complements your vehicle's interior. ## Description Magnet vs. Scissor Magnet - We had long been skeptical of magnetic phone mounts, but it turns out they are pretty awesome. Since most of us have a protective case on our phones, sliding the included little plate inside the case makes for an excellent magnetic connection between the device and the mount. This magnetic mount is so quick and easy to use it is our recommendation for a daily driver. Scissor - We designed the first version of this phone holder 10 years ago. Universal phone holders tend to be bulky, clumsy and cheap plastic; this is a simple, machined aluminum design that (with a size upgrade for 2019) can fit any phone on the market. These phone holders are assembled by hand in our shop and they are a little more expensive than the magnet. The scissor has a stronger grip on the phone than the magnet does. Location, location, location Your device is so much more than a phone. We use our smartphones as advanced GPS devices with turn by turn directions and traffic avoidance. These crazy valuable features of your phone are really tough to take advantage of unless you have the phone secured where you can see it. This Gemini puts your phone in a better viewing location than any other car phone mount could; it attaches to existing holes on the back of your tachometer. Once installed the phone location can be adjusted easily by pivoting the on the bracket, just move it and it stays put. Both the Magnet and Scissor will then allow the phone to rotate into portrait or landscape mode. This mount is designed to fit 1st Gen MINIs:R50 MINI One & Cooper 2001-2006R52 MINI Convertible 2004-2008R53 MINI Cooper S 2001-2006 Review: Love it - This is a great phone holder. Love how it looks in my car. Can be adjusted to suit area and person's viewing area. Review: Fits 2006 (R52) convertible just fine - I've tried a bunch of gadgets, even mini-specific ones, that didn't fit well in the 2006 convertible; it's just a special interior in many ways. However, mount is *perfect* and straightforward to install (definitely use a magnetic screwdriver... and it's easier to see the main tach screws by looking through the front windshield from *outside* the car :-) Scissors mount holds the enormous Note 9 easily - if it weren't for the bixby button, it would be perfect, but instead I have to clamp the phone a bit off-center, so it rotates a little when cornering; I'm sure I can tighten the pivot once I decide if I want it vertical or horizontal, I just haven't tried yet. I'd never heard of cravenspeed before stumbling across this mount - they've got a bunch of novel camera mounts that attach in surprising places, nice to see such ingeniously designed products for a 13-year old car. ## Features - Hands phone and device mount - Securely holds your phone in the perfect position - Attaches solidly to your MINI without damaging it - Designed to fit 1st Generation MINIs ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07PM8J62C | | Brand | Cravenspeed | | Brand Name | Cravenspeed | | Colour | Black | | Compatible Devices | Smartphones | | Compatible Phone Models | All smartphones, Android, Apple, Samsung, iPhone | | Compatible devices | Smartphones | | Compatible phone models | All smartphones, Android, Apple, Samsung, iPhone | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Automobile | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 32 Reviews | | Enclosure Material | Aluminium | | Manufacturer | CravenSpeed | | Model Number | CS-AB916 | | Mounting Type | Vehicle Mount | | Mounting type | Vehicle Mount | | Product Features | Magnetic | | Shape | L-Shape | | Special feature | Magnetic | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Images ![CravenSpeed Gemini Phone Mount for Mini (1st Gen Models Only) [Scissor Mount] - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31StXJs6vIL.jpg) ![CravenSpeed Gemini Phone Mount for Mini (1st Gen Models Only) [Scissor Mount] - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/3170UkruCZL.jpg) ![CravenSpeed Gemini Phone Mount for Mini (1st Gen Models Only) [Scissor Mount] - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31xvsYf1AIL.jpg) ![CravenSpeed Gemini Phone Mount for Mini (1st Gen Models Only) [Scissor Mount] - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31bYLLDb83L.jpg) ![CravenSpeed Gemini Phone Mount for Mini (1st Gen Models Only) [Scissor Mount] - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31uB31tNIBL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love it *by M***N on 8 July 2020* This is a great phone holder. But does it work just great for the Mini Cooper! Mine’s a 2006 Mini Cooper S. I don’t know about other owners but I needed a Philps and a star pattern screw driver to install. The install took me about 10-15 mins! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.ph/products/125174418-cravenspeed-gemini-phone-mount-for-mini-1st-gen-models-only](https://www.desertcart.ph/products/125174418-cravenspeed-gemini-phone-mount-for-mini-1st-gen-models-only) --- *Product available on Desertcart Philippines* *Store origin: PH* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
