I would not classify these as blackout curtains. Sure, they block some light but nothing like the other curtains that I have for my girls' room. That said, these are more attractive in my opinion, so you sacrifice some function for style. As you can see from my photo, you still get a lot of light through them. But I am happy because they look cute :)

I wound up sending them back. My wife wanted them for Christmas but they were not black and white like I thought. They were black and a very light gray. They were real heavy though. I think they would have been really good but the color was just off. At the time I bought the color was not listed which should have been.

I'm a new home owner on a budget, and even cheap curtains add up when you have two glass-sliding doors such as I do.I spent two days straight shopping around online at every major retailer to find the perfect curtains. I looked at HUNDREDS! After finding these, I did a price comparison between three online stores, and found the best price here at Amazon.The material is soft and satiny, with a little sheen to it. Not too much, though, so they don't look cheap.They are great for room darkening during the cloudy/winter season. I have yet to see them in action during the bright/summer months.Backside is the same material, but plain white. From the outside you can see the Chevron pattern slightly, so it still looks nice. SO MUCH BETTER than the blackout curtains I previously purchased from a major store that actually stuck to my windows and left pieces of the fabric on the glass. That definitely won't happen with these curtains!

The white looks a little “dingy” IMO, and they easily snagged within the first week of being hung by me simply reaching in to close the drapes :-(. I have the navy curtains with stars by this brand and love them... these were extremely disappointing in contrast.

Overall they are fine but they aren't great. The white is not a true white and looks more silver. They also appear more glossy in real life as opposed to the matte appearance in the photo. I do like how well the stripes line up when the curtains are closed. Also it should be noted while they do block some light they are not blackout curtains by any means. They claim to block 97% of the light. That's just not true.

This was the finishing touch to my daughter's bedroom makeover! We have one pink accent wall that is almost the exact color of the chevron stripe. These curtains rock! They are thick, soft, and luxurious. They keep the afternoon light out during nap time. They are rally cute and affordable. If you like the pattern- buy them!

Let's start with the positives.. the material soft soft soft, which was great for anti wrinkle. They also blocked out a decent amount of light.Now for the negatives... there were huge snags throughout the curtains. At first I thought maybe I could hide them buy positioning, but there were far too many. The panels also blocked out two different amounts of light, almost like they were made at a different time from one another.. slightly different colors.

I put these up in my babies room. It gets a lot of sun in the afternoon and can be very bright. They block out all the light and keep the room nice and cool during the day for naptime. These are also a great design so as he grows and the nursery changes to his bedroom these curtains can be used for that design also.

Not total black out but do a good job. Very nice looking. Had a minor flaw in the fabric but still kept.

These curtains were not made of a heavy fabric. The stitching is uneven in some places along the top. The black parts of the fabric can get scratched off leaving white lines and pulls. The curtains do not completely darken a room, and are shiny. Not what I was expecting.

I am in loveee with these curtains!! There are just want I needed to brighten up my room, im ordering another set as well!!

Terrible. Not black out at all. If you are looking for black out curtains don't waste your money.
