The gravel makes fish comfortable.
I've just started up 20 GL fresh water tank with my 7-year old son a month ago and set 1/4" Granite Mini Pea Gravel with under gravel filter partially used in the tank. Currently, we have rummy nose, kuhli loach and some other fish/shrimp/snails with several plants. The gravel worked very well especially at the following points.1) Didn’t affect pH and hardness so far.2) Brings out the color of fish beautifully as the gravel has nicely muted color.3) Since the surface of each particle of the gravel is smooth and its edge is more rounded off than it looks, this product is safe for bottom fish – our kuhli loaches prefer to drill in the gravel, but they have never had damage so far.

Good drainage
I use these pebbles to line the bottom of self-watering patio pots. The size is great - small enough to fit into the wells & large enough for good drainage. It’s nice to be able to buy a small 5lb bag. They are not easy to find.

Rougher than it looks in the product photo
I ordered this to use as a cover for the soil around some potted succulents I have. However, I find it's a little too unfinished looking compared to what I expected. Yeah, I know it's natural, but still. . .I did find an alternate use for it, though: I added it to some succulent mix that I found a bit too hydrophilic and dense. The succulent cuttings I planted in that mixture are thriving. I also used it in the bottom of some other plants I repotted to give a well-draining breathing/drainage space above the container's drain hole(s).Addendum 7-26-19: I did use the gravel on the surface of some of my succulent containers. I now appreciate how it doesn't draw attention to itself, but makes the plants stand out. I would buy this again.

Great granite colors!
Took quite a bit of rinsing, but in the end, I got it as clean as possible. I use different rocks and travels when making my succulent planters and sometimes for my bonsai!

Puts end to the fruit fly problem in indoor plants
They look nice and serve the purpose they were bought for. I was having fruit fly problem in my indoor plants. I no longer have that problem after topping the planter with the gravel as it does not allow the larvae to survive and thus prevent them from breeding, eventually eliminating the problem for good 👍.

Huge Mess
The rocks are the right size, they look nice.... but the bag was entirely open and the rocks were all over the box and spilling out of the box as well. Not sure how much of it I lost, but it was sad that I had to spend time cleaning up all the spilled rocks off my floor as wells as trying to put them all back into the bag.

Fruit fly remedy
If you put 1/4-1/2 inch of this stuff on top in a planter, it will stop fruit flies from breeding in the dirt underneath when you water your plants. It's a little harder to tell how much to water because you can't see the dirt getting moist, and you will probably need liquid fertilizer if you use the gravel this way.

Very Natural Look!
This gravel worked well for my fish aquarium. It has a very natural look, which I really like. All it took was rinsing it for like 10 minutes and it was ready to go in the tank.

Nice Gravel
Bought this for my cactus mix. It's a good size of gravel for indoor mixes, lots of small rocks.

Worked great.
I used these. In a countertop and poured epoxy over them, they worked out great for the job I was doing.
