Excellent! Easy to assemble

Rock solid, man. Easy to adjust. Easy to fold when your headed to gigs. Doesn't tip, slide, or shake. Very comfy. Looks pro. Perfect place to park your ass during those long, obsessive keyboard composing and recording sessions. Can't complain about the price either.

This ad on Amazon clearly states "Yamaha" as the brand. When I received my first stool I looked at the box carefully and examined the stool carefully, it does not say Yamaha anywhere on any of what I received. On the bottom of the stool it is labeled as "The Music People" which I believe is the real brand. Without the Yamaha brand I probably would not have ordered one, I've found Yamaha hardware to be top notch so I trusted Amazon and bought one. Because of all this branding bait and switch I took off one star from what I would have reviewed as a 5-star product. These stools are great, comfortable, the right size, seems sturdy for up to 200 pound humans, easy to move around, padding provides excellent butt support, I liked my first one so much I bought a second one so I would not have to keep stealing the one out of the keyboard pit area. Delivery was right on time and for about $27 including shipping these are excellent equipment for any music studio (compare it to the Yamaha stool from Musicians Friend or Guitar Center at over $60 in their stores). These stools are the right height for playing piano and also work well for sitting and playing acoustic or electric guitar since there are no chair arms to get in the way. I teach music and nobody has complained about the new stools so I'm thinking they are working for me. Good luck and good music to all! Even though there are some pretty negative reviews on this Padded Keyboard bench, I find it to be an exceptional value and quality. And yes, it is made in China. Which most things are now. But it doesn't distract from the quality of this bench whatsoever. It's very sturdy. I weigh right at 190lbs, and it supports me easily. The padding is thick and very firm. The seat adjust to three different height settings. And quite easily. No assembly is required either other than when you take it out of the box, one side of the legs are made to fold up. There are two adjustable screws that tighten holding the legs firmly in place. And once tightened, they aren't coming loose unless you unscrew the tightening bolts to fold the bench up for portability. The seat measures 17" x 12". I use a standard adjustable Keyboard stand, and this Bench works perfectly in both height and comfort. I have no problem at all giving this a 5 star rating for overall quality and value.

I bought this bench for my boyfriend to sit at his keyboard. It feels very sturdy and is nicely padded. At first the seat may feel pretty firm, but it gets softer after someone has sat on it for a few minutes. I would definitely recommend this bench for the price -sounds like it is one of the better quality ones available in the price range.
