Best cookbook I've ever owned!!!
I absolutely love this cookbook! As a personal fitness trainer and mom trying to make healthy fast meals that even my 3 year old son will like, it is a huge hit in our family!!! I tell all my clients this is a great book to help them keep on track with their nutrition goals. It has a permanent place on my kitchen counter and it starts many a conversations when people see it and ask, what is that? Do you like it?What I love most is how it has the nutrition breakdown for you with every recipe, so you know exactly how many calories, carbs, protein, fiber, sugar, etc. you are getting. The recipes are simple and fast, and I've actually liked most every recipe I've tried. That's never happened before when I get a cookbook. It's usually just a few here and there. I also like how Zonya helps give you tips on organizing your cupboards, and has the shopping list of groceries for you so it really does help make it simple. I tell my clients all the time that good nutrition is simply a matter of planning ahead and time management. This book really helps show people that if you are willing to commit to making a few simple changes in your life, eating healthy can be possible and can fit into even the busiest person's life.

The one minute meals are outstanding!
The layout of the book is a bit tricky—I had to list the recipes I’ve used inside the front cover with page number to find them quickly again. Overall the book is a delightfully diverse health trip, with really great tips for so many health and cooking related issues! I highly recommend this as a gift for anyone who will be cooking, but especially for those wanting to be frugal but that love good, homemade meals.

healthy menu ideas
I like the daily menu format; i also like thequick lunch/snack options, sometimes I dont want a full/big lunch so these ideas work very well for me.the menus are easy and contain most of the basic ingredients i already have in my cupboard.i dont really care for the index; i think the index should be done in order of the main dish and not the description of the dish.i have added to my cookbook collection and use it as a 'go to' resource quite often.

Sunshine Carrot-Rasin Salad
Our family loves the Sunshine Carrot-Rasin Salad recepie in this book. We eat healthier because of the recepies we use in the book. I have one major gripe about the book however. Try finding the recepie for carrot salad in the index when you don't remember that it is "Sunshine" AHHHHHH! Other rediculous titles of recepies include "Zippy Zonya Mexi Mix", "Tantalizing Turkey Loaf Dinner" "Surprise Pumpkin Pie" "Quick Chicken Sandwich" and "Delicate Baked Fish" There is no other way to look up the recepie, so if I forget the title of the recepie, I have to search the entire index. Overall, This is a great cookbook and I really do recommend it. Note to Zonya. Please fix the titles or the classification system for your next edition.

Recipes I use over and over
This is not a standard recipe book. The title describes the recipes, healthy, easy and quick. I bought a used book on Amazon 3 years ago. I also bought the grocery list which is helpful in making sure you have the ingredients needed. The book itself will stand up on the counter which is a nice feature for my small kitchen. The recipes don't require any fancy ingredients - just normal food items. The recipes themselves are formatted in the order that the food is prepared. The recipes have a lot of flavor. Some of the recipes I have made for potluck were a big hit. For people who need to monitor calories, fat, sugar, every recipe has the portion size and nutitional breakdown. The educational segments are easy to read and understand. This book shows that eating healthy can be easy and delicious.

Great cookbook for healthy budget friendly meals
I love this cook book! It’s great for beginning cooks with easy to follow instructions. I’ve cooked about 75% of the recipes and they were all good and kid/husband friendly. I like how every recipe has nutritional facts so it’s great for diabetics, counting carbs or calories. All the foods I love with little changes and tips to make them healthier. Also most of the recipes are budget friendly. My daughters favorite dessert is from this book - surprise pumpkin pie

More "tips" than recipes
The book is ok, but the recipes seem like they are really just cooking tips rather than real recipes. One so-called recipe is just substituting ground turkey for beef with canned Sloppy Joe mix! Another "recipe" is just pouring jarred sweet and sour sauce over chicken. TaDa! It may taste good, but how exactly is that a healthy recipe?Also the meals are divided into categories like: 5 minute, 15 minute, 30 minute, and breakfast and appetizers. There is not section for just Dinner or even Entrees. Since the only meal most of us cook every day is dinner it seemed strange not to have a dinner section.There is nothing really wrong with the book but it's just common sense. I didn't find anything new or interesting. There are many free recipes online that could provide the same information. Save yourself the cost of the book and do a search for recipes web sites.

A Must-Have For Every Kitchen!
This is by far the best cookbook I have ever owned! Every single page is written clearly with step by step directions for everything including any desserts or side dishes you may be serving. All recipes complete with nutritional information and serving sizes, and are all low-fat, low-sodium. My husband HATES anything remotely healthy including vegetables but he eats everything I have made from this book and actually likes it! Zonya does not use chemical sweeteners or exotic ingredients that take forever to find and prepare, this cookbook is made for those who need a fast, simple solution to healthy eating. These recipes are also easily tailored for vegetarians or vegans with tips from her on how to best prepare your tofu instead of meat. From now on this is the one book I recommend to every person I know!

Page missing
It looks interesting but I haven't tried it out as I only received it today. Tips and shopping lists included. But I was very disappointed to see a page missing. Only tiny piece of page remained attached to spiral binding. See photo
