The best 16$ spent on reloading
So I bought this after seeing a bunch of videos on YT for single stage press (RCBS 4) mods. Absolutely the best $16 spent on reloading so far. The best part is that there is an STL file for the bushings themselves and they are pretty sturdy if you print them right. Important note. If you use the conversion bushing, use BLUE loctite. Not the red one as you will need lots of heat to remove it if you ever need to. Make sure that you clean the threads off as best you can to ensure that the blue loctite holds. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is interested in this dirt cheap mod. If this review was helpful,go ahead and click that like button please.

Fantastic product.
I use these for rifle reloading on my Lee single stage. 1/12 of a turn and the die is in or out. Very secure. Just take out the threaded bushing insert in the Lee and screw in the Hornady bushing. Then attach the L-N-L adapters onto your dies and your good to go.I chose these over the Lee Breech Lock bushings because of the design. The Hornady uses a sturdy "lug" design whereas the Lee uses a "partial thread" design. Not as sturdy or positive in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Lee products. But in this case I prefer the Hornady design and have been very pleased with so far.

One of the single best reloading purchases I have made in recent years
One of the single best reloading purchases I have made in recent years. I converted my RCBS Rock Crusher to use these dies, spent the time to set the dies up, now it is rock-n-roll. I can change out my dies, validate the results and go to work. No more having to un-screw/screw-in a new die, just twist it out and put the new one in. I recommend this for anyone using a single press. Hornady 44099 Lock N Load Conversion Kit

Great Modification
I changed my press over to the Lock-N-Load system with this kit and it works so much better. Changing dies is quick and rarely need to adjust the dies depths. I especially appreciate this system as I reload multiple calibers.

Great time saver on RCBS Rock Chucker press
I have installed the die bushings on the 9mm Luger die set (resizing/decapping die, case mouth expander die, and seater die). I use an RCBS single stage press (Rock Chucker) and the original 1-1/2 inch hex head bushing must be replaced by the Hornady bushing adapter. The Hornady bushing adapter screws right into the press once the standard RCBS bushing is removed and provides the twist in/out feature of the die bushings. The Hornady bushing adapter has no hex head and is a little short so care must be taken when initially tightening it up.PROS: The twist in and twist out feature using only your hands (without disturbing the setup) is by far the strongest plus of these bushings. A quick little twist in or out and the die is changed, no wrenches required. I have checked the results meticulously and they are very consistent.CONS: The biggest disadvantage for me is that you are either all in or all out with these die bushings. Obviously you cannot use the RCBS dies by threading them in since the bushing adapters have only the quick install/remove lugs. This means to use a die for which you have not purchased the die bushing, you must reinstall the standard RCBS hex head bushing; that switch in itself would be *much* more convenient if the Hornady bushing adapter had a hex head to facilitate removal and installation. Note that this also means accessories such as the RCBS bullet puller and swaging tool used to remove crimps from military brass (or any other item which resides in a die body) also will have to have a die bushing or you will be swapping the press bushing.A very small *potential* con is that for really precise reloading I think it desirable to use separate seater dies for bullet installation/seating and (one without the bullet seater) for taper crimping. If you do that, you are looking at 4 bushing adapters for each caliber.A couple of times while quick changing the dies the Hornady bushing adapter came loose while removing the die; a quick snug and it was back up and running and there was no measurable change in results after re-tightening.Once I have completely converted, a couple of drops of loctite BLUE will probably solve the minor problem of the bushing adapter coming loose occasionally when changing dies; (NOT loctite RED for this application, which must be heated to 500 degrees Farenheit to break it down). In the die set for a given caliber, you must adjust all of the dies since the dies will ride higher with the Hornady system than they do with the standard RCBS hex head bushing. The set up took a little longer than I thought, but I am still an amateur having been reloading for about 5 years.I am sold, so I will now buy three packs for my other calibers. At present I load only 3 calibers (.45acp, 9mm luger and 5.56 NATO); buying 3 packs for these calibers is still reasonable and this product has changed the way I reload. In the future when I buy a new die set I will also buy a 3 pack of these die bushings.Update: I have now added .38 Super to the calibers I load. My dies are a mixed bag of RCBS and Lee Precision. No surprises; these bushings work flawlessly on all dies.Recommended.

Typical Hornady Junk!
If my Hornady AP press wasn't a piece of junk i wouldn't have needed these in the first place. The threaded insert part that lives in the press eventually cracks on the locking lugs and breaks to the point where the die wont stay locked in. this has happened several times even when being gentle on the press. yeah i can call Hornady and their service is great, they always sent out replacements but im sick of calling and the parts usually take over a week to show up. That's no good when i need to make ammo for a competition on the weekend and the press is down. fortunately amazon come to the rescue with one day delivery and got me running again. If you have a non lock and load press seriously consider keeping it as is. The lock and load system is just a bad design, its fragile and temperamental and you can end up with inconsistent rounds if you dont check the dies are locked tight every 10-20 rounds. If they made a kit to convert my press to a regular non lock and load i would buy it in a heartbeat! that's how fed up i am with it!

Totally worth it...
Converted my RCBS single stage Ammomaster to the L-N-L system. Best thing I've done for that press. Saves a ton of setup time when switching between cartridges.

Fast and efficient
I have been using these bushings for about 6 months now, I reload at least 100 rounds a week of different calibers. It is quick and easy to change dies without having to make adjustments. I will be purchasing these again once they are available.
