The Young Ones - Series 1-2 [DVD]

4 different young men share a flat and go to college (I guess). Surreal and 4th wall breaking ensue. We have a con man, hippy, punk rocker and anarchist as the main guys. No US show would have this much socio-political type humor. Watched this on MTV back in the mid 80s, they wouldn't touch this now. Only ran 2 seasons with 12 total episodes. They tried a US remake but just an unaired pilot was made. Might sound dated today, it's very linked to the Thatcher era. But somehow it's still funny today.

These DVDs don't play in the US zone on a DVD player. They do, however, play on my laptop

I remember watching The Young Ones on Mtv back in the 80s with my dad. The whole series is hilarious even now,40 years later. This is a region 2 DVD set so if you're in America you might have to buy a region free or multi region DVD player like I did here on Amazon for about $40.

Great disk.. if you can play it. It is in Region 2 and 4. USA is region 1. So you can play it on your notebook or desktop with a little adjusting. You cannot play it on your XBox.

So many memories watching the lunacy on MTV back in the eighties. DVD came right on time in perfect condition.

Looked for this for years. Still just as funny and full of behind the scenes extras.

It played on my on my all region dvd player. Acceptable quality. Obviously transferred from a VHS recording from TV. Hey, what do you want? Its $20 and it works. If you want quality and dependability, buy from the BBC Shop and don't cheap out.
