Fischer 536162 DUOPOWER Wallplug with Screws, Red/Grey/Metal

I am not usually one for buying screws in storage boxes, but these were on offer and were fischer branded, boasting their latest iteration of rawlplugs. I had specific need of some of the larger sizes for DIY work so I made an exception.The box is a very clever modular design, allowing it to be clipped securely to other boxes in the Fischer system if you have them, and it appears to be robust in use as a standalone box. It is also obviously great to have a good supply of matched screws and rawlplugs for specific jobs.A pleasing and functional purchase.

Drill the right size hole and you have a ready made fastener that is very very secure. A little expensive but worth there weight in gold for their convenience alone.

For years I’ve faffed about with different packs of wall plugs and finding screws to fit them with occasional success. None were particularly robust or reliable. Sometimes they’d work, more often than not, not!Having moved house earlier this year there was lots to do and stumbled across this set. Seemed a good one with the reviews so I bought a box .. best decision I’ve made.I’ve put up shelves, pictures, security fixings, into brick, concrete, plasterboard, all with ease. Honestly, I can now be confident that I can drill the wall and tap one of these plugs in, knowing that I won’t be pulling them out when they don’t work. They do. Everything stays out when screwed in and doesn’t budge. Paired with a good quality drill bit, measure twice, drill once! Jobs a good ‘un.Allows me to get it right first time every-time and not (yet) had one fail, or not work as expected.I’ve bought two of these now and have even bought a separate pack of the two smaller plugs to have in stock for future jobs. Who knew that a good quality box of bits would be a game changer!You won’t go wrong buying this box. All kept tidy and together. No more hunting around for screws that are the right size. Often daunting for a casual DIY’er drilling into walls, especially in a new house, but confidence in knowing these work.
