Make sure filter is fully submerged in water and that all air bubbles escape.
Originally seemed not compatible with my machine as water would not flow, but manufacturer responded immediately with advice and when installed correctly it works perfectly. It is important to ensure that at first installation all air is expelled.

Push and twist the blue cap to activate
Fits a De Longhi Magnifica S. Instructions not really provided but you have to push down on the blue cap and twist to open up the flow to the filter. Big saving over DebLonghi filters.

Por ahora a sólo he puesto el primero. En un primer momento el agua salía turbia, a pesar de haber seguido meticulosamente las instrucciones. Nunca me había sucedido con los originales. Solamente dejé correr un poco de agua hasta comprobar que salía transparente. Además, si lo coges por el tapón azul se le sale y te quedas sólo con el tapón en la mano. Pero pese a estos inconvenientes, parece que cumple su función, no he notado ninguna diferencia más en sabor o algo así, y la diferencia de precio compensa.
