Makes a beautiful classic bunny
As Easter doesn't have a fixed date that is easy to remember, I've purchased this mold out of season. I'm working with the idea that I'll have plenty of time to practice and fine tune the details of technique well in advance of flipping over a calendar page and panicking some months from now.First off, the mold doesn't look exactly like the picture shown. It arrived with only a sticky label affixed to it. That took a bit of elbow grease to remove before use. It's not covered in any sort of extra packing material and has no directions included. So, handwash it and do a little research about melting chocolate and so on before getting started.I plan to purchase a second mold now that I've tested out the first. One detail you don't see in the photo is that there are nubs so that you can connect 2 pieces together after you fill each side to create a solid 3-d double sided bunny. Or, you can do 2 half sides with the mold as shown and later give them a light smear of chocolate to piece them together once they have hardened. The mold also has an indented line that shows where you can cut it into 2 parts if you so desire. But, I think it will be more efficient and save the destructive to the mold, to make 2 solid bunnies at once, so I plan to purchase a second mold.I have a few vintage metal molds and it is clear that this bunny was created from just such a classic mold. It has even better details than shown in the photo as there is a little clover on one side, and a flower on the other, in the grassy bit where the bunny sits, and the fur is richly detailed. So you will be able to create a beautiful classic bunny with this mold. However, even better than the old time metal molds, the clear plastic that this is created from allows you to check that there are no air bubbles or other mishaps with the filled mold before it is set. That is something you can't do with a metal mold. Also, plastic is flexible and these pop out very easily once the chocolate has hardened. That isn't always the case with metal molds. The information listed on Amazon says it will create about 1 solid, 3-D piece, per 1 pound of chocolate. In my test today, I'd say that you actually could make about 2 bunnies per 1 pound of chocolate. So perhaps the tester for this site sampled a bit too much before it was transfered into the mold.It is very lightweight and will be easy to store. However, as it is a clear plastic, try to store it away safely so that some "helpful" soul doesn't accidentally throw it out in the trash as it could be easily mistaken as such.

Awesome chocolate mold
Worked great! the chocolate came right out of the mold. I cut it in half to make a 3D Bunny, there are nice little indents that line up the mold when the two sides are placed together that keep it in the right place , I used binder clips to clamp it shut while it cooled. Perfect for my non dairy chocolate bunnies that are hard to find around Easter !

A great mold! Very realistic-looking, with beautiful results!
I got this for Easter so I could do chocolate bunnies for my kids. This turned out great rabbits! They are a good size and are very detailed and very nice-looking.One thing I will say is that you will want to prop the corners with something underneath as the chocolate sets, because the molds are not level and flat on the bottom, and the chocolate will run out if you don't make it level.Other than that, no complaints.I did not piece both halves together after molding; I left mine separate. Although I suppose you could join them afterward if you wanted a fully three-dimensional rabbit.

When your daughter asks santa for chocolate bunnies, what do you do? Order this and make your own of course! She loved her bunnies

Cracked
Not deep enough, the chocolate cracked when I tried to remove it.

A bit small
This product works great but it was a bit smaller than I expected. The details are really great. The measurements are accurate but done with liberties. It is from.the tip of the ears to the bottom and from the widest part of the body across. The product description says it makes a full pound when put together. I could see by looking at this that it was not possible. So I just weighed a two pack of single sided bunnies I had already prepared. I weighed them wrapped in foil and in a treat bag. Even with the packaging I barely got 7 ounces. Bottom line is that these would be great for friendship gifts, but not for a child expecting an eye popping large bunny.

As Advertised
This mold is a good size to make a meaningful Easter treat. It is more sturdy than I expected and worked really well. After melting the chocolate, simply fill each side and slide it into the freezer for 10-15 minutes. Pull it out and give it a little wiggle/twist to free the chocolate and the two sides pop right out. Glue the two sides together with a little more melted chocolate and you have the perfect bunny!
