Sure Electronics ME-TM22123 Blue LED Temperature Display External Sensor

Finally a temperature sensor without a clock!
This works great! I powered it with a low cost 12v power supply (Etekcity GD-001).The connector wires were oriented correctly (red +, and black - ), so they seem to have fixed that issue. If you carefully pop off the back you will see 4 dip switches that will configure the display. You have to go online to see the setup information. It was set up the way I wanted when I got it. #1 on, #2 off to display in F, #3 on, #4 off, to display temp reading of CH1. The blue display is not too bright, but easy to see at night. I have a couple digital clocks it the bedroom, I didn't need another. I just wanted a digital temperature display. I gathered my regular thermometers to test it, and it seems very good. It's a good value as long as it holds up over time.

Works as advertised, good price
I needed a thermometer to keep an eye on the temperature on the computer room adjoining my office. Given the price of some of the auto messaging types I just ordered this one. What I failed to realize was that this didn't have a power plug of some sort -just the wires that you connect to your electronics I guess. I simply cut a usb cable and used that to power it. Works great, the probe cable is long enough for what I need and the numbers are nice and bright.

wire for external sensor too short for practical use in car.

Works great! Not sure on the probe.
Pretty happy so far. I am using this to monitor the temperature of my swimming pool. I installed it into a small project box and attempted to water proof it by sealing the plastic screen with silicone caulk. I also sealed the unit into the project box.I initially was using a 9 volt battery but within a couple days it was dead already. My own fault, and didn't think the mAH of a 9 volt battery through (the unit draws about 35mA). Would suggest some kind of power supply or rechargeable battery/solar as someone else suggested. I had an old 12v 500mA power supply ("wall wart") lying around so spliced that into the power wires and it worked fine.I'm not sure if it was related to the battery going dead (can't see how though), but once I got the unit powered back up I kept getting "OL" for the reading. Normally this would indicate that the probe is not connected but it was. I happened to have a probe from an older (and different brand) temperature display and once I got that probe connected it was working again. So despite claims of the probe being water proof, I am not so sure about that. The old probe had been in my pool for 3 years and still works fine. This one apparently died after just a few days. Also, as many have mentioned, there is no manual and no instructions. However, I found them online. Go to parts-express dot com and search for "320-506". There is a link to the manual on the product page.

Great unit and Great Price
I looked around for some display to show the temperature of a small rack at home, so I need something on a budget.and I find it, this unit give you a nice reading of the temperature on F, from -32 to 257 (that is what the box says)if you look around you will find that, the rack mount 1U sensor display are about $100. Really no make sense if you want something just to have a reference of the temp of your devices.Next update, I will compare with another temperature sensor, to see how accurate it is, but so far seems is working very good..Give it a try!

Tempermental, Has less resolution
I installed this meter in an RV to monitor the hot water tank. It is slow to update, but works OK. But the thing that really gets me: It can change back and forth from Fahrenheit to Centigrade for no reason! Well, actually, it is the ambient light. In the RV I use LED lighting, and I and my wife turn the lights on and off all the time. Why couldn't they have just put a switch on the back so that I can keep the stupid thing on Fahrenheit? KISS! Now we have to be careful how we turn the lights on. Solved one problem, and created another, and that is not progress! That is not all: The display "jumps" 1.5 degrees up or down with no readings in between. Therefore, the third digit carries no real information. The third digit is fake.

WORKS GREAT AND LOOKS NICE.
WORKS GREAT! INSTALLED THIS ON MY TRUE T-49 REFRIGERATOR, NICE UPGRADE, I CAN SEE THE TEMP FROM A DISTANCE NOW.

Auto dim!
Seems good so far, dip switch inside for switching f°/c°, and channel select/alt display!
