## Description

Product description From the Manufacturer The ButtKicker Gamer2 adds instant immersion to any game. Unlike a subwoofer that moves air (and loses accuracy and force) ButtKicker products move actual mass producing a haptic immersion that's powerful and accurate. Feel the low end without making the room loud. Turn down or turn off your subwoofer and still feel all the bass you want. Experience powerful bass even while using headphones or a gaming headset. The ButtKicker Gamer easily attaches to standard center post chairs. Haptic (felt) feedback is a must have for shooters. The ButtKicker Gamer2 lets you feel incoming fire, pinpoint other players even while your squadmates are talking. It's a game changing tactical advantage. For sim racers the Gamer2 adds the missing driver to car connection, bringing more realism and immersion to your sessions. Connection is simple to any PC or gaming console and because the Gamer2 is audio (bass) driven it works natively with all content. The Gamer2 Easy-Clamp mount allows mounting to any post up to 1.4" in diameter, including square posts often found on sim racing cockpits and rigs. And, many sim racing rig manufacturers offer custom mounting brackets for the Gamer2. No matter if you use Obutto, Playseat, rSeat, or another brand the Gamer2 is a must have addition. The ButtKicker BK-GR2 Gamer is awesome for gaming, simulation, computer entertainment, and digital music playback. This device works with all computer systems and all gaming consoles, and allows you to feel the gut-wrenching punch of machine-gun fire, the pounding of chopper blades, racing engines, gear-shifts, explosions and more. With the ButtKicker Gamer you can experience powerful bass even while you're using headphones. But what is it and how does it work? The ButtKicker is a small linear motor that reacts to an audio signal sent by an amplifier. The ButtKicker Gamer comes with its own 90-watt amplifier that is convection-cooled with vents so there’s no noisy fan. It also includes a wired remote control so you can stash the amp out of sight and still operate its core features. It is similar to a loudspeaker, but instead of a moving a cone and transferring sound waves through the air, the ButtKicker Gamer is attached to your seat and sends a low frequency sound directly into your body. The effect is amazing. The human body uses two senses to perceive full-range sound. We hear sound, but we also feel it, especially low frequencies. Traditionally it takes big speakers to move a tremendous amount of air for us to feel low frequency sound. That's why so many people love loud concerts -- they want to feel the music as well as hear it. The ButtKicker Gamer reproduces the feeling range of audio in a more direct way than through air movement. The perception is actually better, plus the sound pressure disappears. For example, when using headphones with the BK-GR2, you'll still perceive powerful, musically accurate, concert-level audio, but no one else will hear anything. The ButtKicker Gamer can take your gaming experience to an awesome level without angering your neighbors. To get the full effect of exciting, action-packed video game titles you'd normally need a huge audio entertainment system that you could pump up to a disturbing-the-peace level. The ButtKicker Gamer solves the problem and adds the big bass feeling without the giant, disruptive volume. Designed to be responsive and aggressive, the ButtKicker Gamer answers the need for both accurate low frequency response and maximum immersion. Video games, sim racing and flight simulators have never been so realistic or intense. What They're Saying From "iGames" magazine: I wasn't sure what fate had in mind when I unpacked the Buttkicker and got it set up. I know that many of you think “buttkicker” and think of an older brother or cousin beating the tar out of you for no reason. No my friends, this is a device that enhances your overall “entertainment” experience by amplifying low frequency sounds and it connects to a chair. International Flight-Sim Convention: The winner of this year's CES Innovation Award didn't go to some great computer device that makes computers quicker or quieter, or to anything with a lowercase I before it's name, but rather to a product that straps onto your chair, sends thumping vibrations through your seat. Hardware-Review.net: Buttkicker Gamer When you're gaming at LAN parties or with a bunch of friends in a garage or basement, using your 5.1 stereo sound system when you're fragging them isn't an option. So, what are you going to do when you want that "bass feel", but you have to use headphones? The ButtKicker Gamer was designed with this purpose in mind, and we just happen to have one on our test bench to review today. What's in the Box ButtKicker BK-GR2 gamer, Easy Clamp attachment mechanism, 90-watt amplifier with optional standing feet, 13.5-foot cable, RCA and mini Y adapters, five-foot RCA-to-RCA cable, five-foot RCA-to-mini cable, and two Velcro cable ties. Sim Racing ButtKicker haptic transducers bring the missing car-to-driver connection to your sim racing. Powerful, precision tactile feedback will have you driving by the seat of your pants & turning your fastest lap times. Flight Simulators ButtKicker haptic transducers are trusted by commercial & recreational flight simulation users around the world. The powerful haptic feedback lets you feel turbulence, landings, & airframe vibration. Haptic Immersion ButtKicker haptic transducers use your existing audio signal to create dynamic & accurate tactile feedback. Get ready for more realism & deep immersion in your gaming experience - Better with ButtKicker. The ButtKicker Gamer2 adds instant haptic immersion to any game. Powerful Haptic Transducer The ButtKicker Gamer2 haptic transducer moves actual mass, producing a tactile immersion that's powerful & accurate. Rock-Solid Amp Included Includes the all new ButtKicker Power Amplifier BKA-130-C. This rock-solid amp is convection cooled and cranks 90 watts of power into your seat. Easy-Clamp Mechanism for Mounting The ButtKicker Gamer2 haptic transducer easily attaches to standard center post chairs and sim rigs with its durable Easy-Clamp mounting mechanism.

Review: Definitely gives your sim rig an enhanced tactile experience - I bought the ButtKicker Gamer 2 around a month ago for my racing sim rig, looking for that added feel of immersion. I heard nothing but good things about this product, so I was looking forward to how it was when I ordered my own unit. The ButtKicker Gamer 2 came in a fairly large and heavy box (around 13 lbs in shipping weight). Free and super fast shipping by desertcart. Got it in no time. Item was well-packaged. Product build quality is top-notch. The product is built to last a long time. Hooking it up was a breeze. It came with all the necessary accessories to hook it up to whatever system you plan on using it. I hooked it up to my ASUS Xonar DGX sound card and it works well with no problems. Definitely felt a lot of rumble whichever media I threw at it. It works well with music (all kinds), movies (Band of Brothers, Saving Private Ryan), and games (Battlefield 3, Project C.A.R.S., F1 2011) -you really have that more immersive experience. Definitely enhanced how my sim rig felt. It complemented my other sim racing hardware as well. It made you feel the engine revs and the kerbs. Never did I feel that the rumble was inadequate. In fact, I only have it turned on half-way, barely having the cut-off light turned on at times. Outside of spending a ton of money on a dedicated motion rig, this is as good as they come if you want the next step in making your sim rig much more immersive. It simply brings your sim rig to life. You'd never want to use your sim rig without it. Also, the Guitammer Company has excellent customer support, comprehensively answering all my queries in a very timely manner. All-in-all, it's definitely worth the investment. No wonder it's always sold-out often! I highly recommend it. Really quality product. Note: Make sure to not turn the unit's intensity all the way up, so the unit doesn't overheat.
Review: Immersion in my flight sims....... - ..........has never been better. But to be honest I already knew all this. I owned the original Butt kicker and used it regularly until the amp unit stop working. I missed the BK so much that I ordered the new version. The new model has a vastly improved amp but works pretty much the same. I have a home built flight simulator and this device gives me tactile feedback that has to be experienced. Here are some of the sims I play: DCS-KA50 Black Shark - I feel the cannon, the rumble of the rotors spinning, the clunk of having to jettison weapons in an emergency and of course enemy AAA and surface to air missiles hitting me! DCS-A10C Warthog - Tires rolling over cracks in the tarmac, the GAU-8/A Avenger cannon (OH YEAH). The low whine of twin engines, flak, missiles, touching down and even crashing into the ground! Rise Of Flight/Il2 1946 - Engines, machine guns, flak (in these games sometimes you feel the flak before seeing it). The cool thing about the butt kicker is that it works off sound output from your PC/console rather than software which means it works with any game. The kicker (no pun intended) is that it can take a while to get the settings just right, and you'll have to set it up differently for different games, but once you dial in your set-up there is no going back. Since I had the original BK I tossed out my bad amp but kept the shaker and mounted it to the couch, now when I watch movies it makes the experience simply amazing! Hope this review helps you decide your purchase. My sound set up (all my movie watching and gaming is through PC BTW): -Logitech Z5500 5.1 Surround Sound System -Creative X-Fi Fatality Sound Card in 5.1 set-up

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this "ButtKicker BK-GR Gamer2" ? Or "ButtKicker BK-GR Gamer"**
A: It is ver 2 the new model and yes it is improved.

**Q: Looking to use this on a pc sim rig, but i use a log usb wireless headset. from what i have read it can be very difficult to setup, is there a fix?**
A: This has zero to do with your headset. It’s just a glorified sub. The only wire that dictates length is the one going from the amp to the shaker. You could cut the shaker cord and splice it but I can’t imagine you being that far away. This unit has nothing to do with usb connections. You could hook it up to a home stereo.

**Q: How would i run this in conjunction with my usb wireless headset, can windows output to two sound devices simultaneously?**
A: The buttkicker would simply jack into your audio output, on the computer.

**Q: So you need splitters for this to work on xboxonex or ps4 pro?**
A: For me, yes. I have a 7.2 home stereo system and all I did was split the left side subwoofer RCA cable to the Buttkicker amp.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Boom for the Buck !
*by C***B on June 28, 2012*

Having known a few people over the years who run Transducers in their Home Theater setups I'm no stranger to the technology and the desired results. That said this is a very strong performing product that delivers a massive amount of bang for your buck ! This is all very dependent on how and what it is attached to. It needs to be a sturdy chair with lots of hard points or it will shake and you wont. Mine is attached with the factory clamp to a piece of corrugated steel pipe that is threaded into a flange bolted onto a thin 2 foot X 2 foot piece of Plywood that is directly bolted into the wooden frame of a 10 inch thick Full Sized [ Full is the actual size ] Cotton Futon and it shakes the entire thing very well. For a 90Watt Transducer it performs better than I would have thought as most I have experienced are much larger 500Watt units in large couches with massive amounts of Wattage, obviously its not going to be as effective in that application but its more than a enough in a single chair with good solid mounting. I have owned mine since 2010 and use it pretty regularly for Movies more than anything else unplugging it when its not in use. Build quality on the AMP, Connectors, Remote and Transducer itself is high with a very Robust feeling to all of it including the built in Mount. The AMP doesn't use a Fan so there is no noise to worry about. Heat hasn't been any sort of issue with mine though I use mine out in the open with nothing on or around it so airflow isn't a problem. Its been a solid performer since day One. Its a great performer that wont break the bank but its somewhat limited as it doesn't have a digital pass through so there is no separation between the Left audio channel and low effects etc which can muddy things up when connected directly to an analog source, it would perform better with a Sub Out as its source. You can tweak it a bit with built in Hi / Low Filters on the AMP but it will always be trying to act like a Mono Speaker to some degree and wont single out just the Low end vibration we are after. So if you want to use this directly with your PS3 or 360 you will have to use a Scart connector which at least on the PS3 is a Stereo only affair, I think the 360 can output both Digital and Stereo at once but I cant remember ?. I use mine via Scart from the PS3 then into a Turtle Beach DSS 7.1 [ it also picks up the Audio going into the DSS from my Satellite TV Receiver ] out to a set of Klipsch Promedia 2.1's or Dre Beats Headphones so I have to choose between running digitally to the DSS or Stereo with the Buttkicker, while the DSS does a good job with any Stereo source there is a very notable difference between the two. In the end its a Great Solid Product that offers a very Reasonably priced glimpse into Transducers and what they are capable of. If you have any interest in this technology at all then you cant go wrong picking one these up. This is worth every Dollar of the $100.00 I paid for mine :D If your feeling a bit spendy $300.00 should get you into a much larger AMP and Transducer with a Digital Pass Through. Either way if you like feeling your Movies & Games both are worth looking into and offer a great experience for the Money.
