Waste of time and money if using on testex tape
Will not work with testex tapeReceived product at home by the time I got it to the job site it was to late to return.waste of money

For the price, excellent.
Product works very well. Comparried to a certified machine, compared very well to the 7000 lab device. Will work very well in the field. I test papers and films to identify comparable products.

Does Not Work with the Replica Tape
This Gage does NOT work with the Press O Film tape (Testex Replica Tape) since the measuring tip is 10 mm diameter and the area on the tape for measuring is only 3/8" (9.5mm).... The suggested purchase on the amazon page (with the gage + the roll tape) is not accurate and should be removed.the gage as all Mitutoyo instruments is excellent per se, but it does not work for what I need... the problem now is that I brought it to Colombia-South America and I cannot send it back to USA.

Great Gauge, NOT FOR TESTEX TAPE
Great Gauge, Not for Testex Tape. The decription states it can be used for testex tape, this is not the case. It has a large plasitic cap on the end of anvil that is as large as the Testex prolife so it cannot read it at all. Other than that? Its a great gauge.
