Excellent for limited recording applications.
I use Blue's Eight Ball which is bulky and a generic pop filter, yet the stand is well-balanced. If you are going to use a light-weight mic, the cable attached to the microphone might pull the stand off balance; to avoid that place the to legs under the front of the mic and one leg directly under the back of the mic.The stand is limited to a desk or some kind of platform. If you want a swivel arm for more flexibility, then this device is not for you. For simple voice-overs or demo recording, it works well. Make sure your microphone has a good shock-mount and ensure your room is quiet.Overall, I am quite pleased with this stand. If you treat it kindly and gently, the rigid plastic legs will last a lifetime.

A bit flimsy but okay
In a studio setting works great, might have problems if using in live performances or if jostling around alot. The clip is a bit flimsy type of plastic and doesn't hold mics very tightly. The legs are also a bit flimsy and are plastic, but when open they stay open well. Hard to open and close the legs with one hand, a bit awkward but also because they open stiffly. For the price I don't feel screwed on quality, it goes in my bass drum in my home recording setup and that's where it'll stay.

Way too small for a regular sized wireless mic
The base is decent but the holding clip is extremely small. Way too small to actually hold a condenser mic. Tried the stand with a Samson stage 266 and while it can hold the mic, barely touching the mic will make it fly out of the clip.

Flimsy construction
As a radio reporter, I carry a lot of gear around in a backpack. This came apart as I pulled it out for an interview. Fortunately, none of the parts -- a screw, a bolt and the leg they held in place -- were lost, and I was able to reassemble (later), with an Allen wrench.

Funcionalidad
Soporte pequeño, económico y ligero pero a la vez con el peso necesario para darle estabilidad. Es de una sola pieza con patas que se doblan. Al ser una pieza evitas que se te pierda la base

Mosly useful for dynamic mics for guitar cabinets and alike.
This product is not from Ultimate Stands. It is about a foot tall when extended and connects with conventional shock mounts or clips. Although due to the smaller size and width of the tripod, it is difficult to use with a heavy condenser mic on a shock mount. This is more suitable for dynamic mic where the weight is distributed (almost) horizontally. Condenser makes it a vertical standing setup which may cause wobble and needs adjustment.Use-ability - 4/5Build Quality - 2.5/5

excellent little stand for a supporting microphone
excellent little stand for a supporting microphone, lift the whole thing up and then put it down ,,,,no fiddling about trying to get the mic in and out of the holder
