This hat wasn't quite as goofy as I was fearing. However, it is missing an important feature: a chin strap. Due to the wide brim, this sucker catches the wind. I wore this for a couple of hours and the hat came off three times. There is a drawstring to tighten it on your actual head, but again, the wide brim negates that grip easily. If it had the chin strap, I'd have kept it.

I used this for working outside---gathering kindling wood for fireplace, and felt very protected from the sun. Without tightening the cord, it comes about halfway down my ears, but after pulling the cord tight it was snug on my head and stayed right there while I bent over and stood up repeatedly. My friends said the green color looked good on me. My eyes are green, so it's a match for sure! My sister got the cream colored one, and it looked great on her as well. Very thankful for the sun protection on the neck and ears!

I am a daily hiker. Neck flaps are stitched far enough out on the perimeter of the hat so they don't rest on ears - I barely even notice the flap is there. Light weight and breathable with an excellent brim. Fantastic for the money. I got a second one.

I loved the hat, nice fit, light, comfortable. I work outdoors and I really need this. BUT.....when I wear it, the black liner inside it turns my head black...I washed it and it still does it. I DO sweat. People keep telling me I have black stains all over my head. Buy something with a light colored liner around your head.

great hat. good ventilation. only downside is if enough wind the flap protecting the neck flips up, and you may have to put it back in place

Bought two of these by accident. Thought about returning one but decided to leave one in the car and one at work. They're great sun protection and I also use them instead of carrying an umbrella. ;)

This hat is great. Covers head and neck. Husband loves his. Getting older sucks but. Great products like this sure helps!

My son has a summer job in garden place and kept getting fried on the back of his neck. This solved the problem!!
