First of all I found the price on Amazon quite a bit cheaper than the local hardware store where I had previously bought a bulb such as this. It is the same brand so was glad I looked on Amazon before buying locally.The bulbs arrived nicely packaged by Amazon with no breakage and the bulbs are easy to install. They just snap right in without a problem. The hardest part is getting the bulbs out on a ladder, but that wasn't even very hard.The quality of the bulbs are good as with all GE products and the last ones I bought lasted a good three years. I highly recommend these bulbs as the price is right and they are easy to install. Look on Amazon first for all purchases to see if they have the item that you need. You will be surprised at what they have for sale and they are usually priced a lot less expensive than going to a retailer.

Bought two, both died the same month, 10 months later. Switched to Phillips hoping for better luck, those lasted for almost 2 years, died within the same week.

This item shipped FAST and was obviously packaged with care so not to break during shipping. I purchased this item for my kitchen. I only have this small circular bulb and a larger circular bulb for the whole space. The old bulb was only flickering, it didn't burned out yet so when I replaced it with this new one, I was really surprised at how much brighter it was! The warm light is so much brighter I'm probably not going to have to replace the larger circular bulb!My only complaint is that it does emit a small noise but I only noticed it when it was late at night and the rest of the house was quiet. --That is why it has 4 stars instead of 5.

First I'll say the bulb is a soft white color like a regular light bulb, no blue tint here. The extra watts really made a difference. When one of the two bulbs in my ceiling light went out I wasn't sure what difference the watts would make in a fluorescent bulb. My main concern was fitment/compatibility of the large size bulb. I ordered the 22W for a few dollars less and this 32W at the same time. I preferred the brightness of this light so I replaced both bulbs in the fixture with this 32W bulb. You could really tell the difference between the original and the new replacement. I just kept the original working bulb as a back up for the next time I need to replace a bulb again.I purchased one GE 11085 and one Phillips 391227. I don't see a difference in the light color or output so choose the one at the best price. I can't speak to their longevity as they are recently installed and are supposed to last five years.The couple of extra dollars in price was worth it to get any extra light in my dark kitchen. I can recommend this.Update: I had to replace these in Sept 2015 and first one (second one in the fixture will be right behind it) and it is June 2018. Not exactly getting 5yrs out of them but they still come out on top for me.

Not even 2 years!! But I bought the same one, it's the cheapest I guess. And it's very easy to replace, gives good light,...Don't get tricked by the 5 year, ours lasted 20 months.

Many pluses, no minuses. I had been concerned that the bulb might come broken but was relieved when it arrived in perfect condition. It was packaged with care and was in a strong box. I like the soft tone of the bulb--not harsh like others i have purchased. It was perfect in every way. As yet, I haven't noticed the small "noise" or "buzz" that other reviewers have mentioned (and I have excellent hearing).

This is an expensive light. I didn't have a choice about which kind of light to put in (with regards to shape) and that probably caused the price to be higher. It works as advertised and I expect to get a lot of light-hours out of the light.
