Review: Running iFCB with Mainstage. At first I found it a really clunky to program, but then I did some googling and got the iFCB software, which made programming 1000x better/quicker/easier. That said, it still takes some effort to program and isn't going to be plug and play with almost anything. I don't like that it sends MIDI program changes (instead of control changes) by default, which is why many MIDI noobs will hate it, and another reason I got iFCB. It takes work to program it the way you like it, just like any other midi controller, and it works great as a guitar effects controller without the stompbox chip mods (unless you really want the lights to toggle). Once I got it programmed in iFCB to control parameters that make sense and dont conflict with my other devices, it went into a Mainstage show, it has been super stable and consistent. The overall build quality is much better than I expected from a Behringer product. I feel like the expression pedals are pretty flimsy feeling and I don't like that I have to hit a switch to activate effects, instead of there being a click switch on the top like a wah pedal. All-in-all, this thing is a great bargain and I would recommend it.

**Q: Does this work with USB?**
A: There is no USB port on the back however that does not mean that it will not work with USB. **Q: I want to use this with Mainstage. can the cc signals be assigned with learn mode?**
A: There are several editor programs online but no learn mode to speak of.  I use mine to control our stage lighting.  The editor programs work great. Just click on which switch/pedal you want to assign to it then send it to the pedal.  For music I use my Keith McMillan 12 step since it is chromatic.  I am playing bass in my current band so I have my 12 step controlling a midi loop of a moog minitaur, a micro korg xl, and a korg dw8000 from the early 80s.  In other words a Geddy Lee, Rush sorta setup.  The beg ringer has 10 switches and two exp pedals.  They could have put two more switches on it so you could set it up for a full octave without switching banks.  Okay sorry for rambling but how are you intending on using yours??

**Q: I am looking for a foot pedal to control a hardware synthesizer via MIDI during live performance, how sturdy is this unit for touring?**
A: I use the FCB1010 as virtual pipe organ expression pedals and preset voice controls.  Therefore the unit is never moved.  I have not had any problems.
