Tips from a seasoned diy’er
I’ve remodeled our entire home myself. This was for our guest bath, one of the final areas to be redone. I read all the reviews and here are my tips and thoughts.1. Order the slip on tub spout adapter from delta. It made the spout installation a breeze and did not require a copper sweat like some have complained about.2. The hose must be updated because mine is a nice metal hose that has some stretch to it and falls very nicely. So... ignore the old reviews complaining about the hose.3. Before you install the shower head, pull out the restriction screen or your flow could be weak. It’s easy to do. Remove the rubber o ring and you’ll see a blue screen with four tabs. Pull out with needle nose pliers. Watch a YouTube video and you can get the visual.5. Make sure you have a thermometer handy to set the hot temp in the handle. I found this to be relatively easy.6. The only plastic parts of the fixture don’t feel cheap to me. In fact might be mistaken as thin metal by some. Overall I’m glad I don’t have to worry about the wand denying my toddlers head. Our other shower has a metal wand and it can be dangerous.7. This is relatively easy if you’re confident with your skills and critical thinking/resource gathering. A great buy if you ask me.

Not Durable! Disappointed in Delta
I have owned and operated this product for 3 years and it has been used by myself, my wife, and 3 kids. Honestly, I am very disappointed in this Delta product. I thought that buying a name brand like Delta would provide a quality product. Unfortunately, they cheaped out in certain areas and it provided for a product that has not lasted in my household. The shower head: This surprisingly has lasted and has given us no issues. It is indeed all plastic and I was scared that if it fell off the holder it would crack if it slammed against the side of the shower. No problem so far for us as it stays pretty well secured.Handle and Trim Kit: Overall the handle and trim kit are fine and are all constructed out of metal (brass?) EXCEPT for the small outer knob that controls the temperature. Yep, Delta saved themselves a few pennies by changing this to plastic and it sucks! This part literally gets used all the time and they had to substitute plastic. After several months of use it has loosened and needs to be retightened. Again, several months later... and so on and so on..... Very annoying. The Tub Faucet: All plastic construction except for the plunger rod. Either way, my kids managed to bend the plunger rod and it caused the entire guts of the thing to explode. I managed to reassemble the thing only to have it explode several weeks later.I would NOT purchase this item. It just isn't durable enough to stand up to the wear and tear of a normal family.

Once I got this the way I like it, it's great
Once I got this the way I like it, it's great. When I installed it, the water stream was anemic. Water dribbled out of it and fell straight down. So I searched the Delta FAQs. Delta says they are required by law to restrict water flow. Apparently Big Brother has mandated a lousy shower for everyone. So I unscrewed the sprayer, removed the silt screen, removed the o-ring restrictor in the fitting, and reinstalled the screen. Now it works great. I give this 1 star out of the box, but 5 stars without the o-ring. Delta says without the restrictor, the spray would be "uncomfortable". Come on, guys - this has a 2-handle valve. Duh.

The arm of the shower is made of a poor quality material
The product arrived extremely late and I had to spend money for my contractor to come back out and install. The arm of the shower is made of a poor quality material. It's curled up like an old telephone cord and impossible to straighten out. Therefore, it does not hang like the picture. Again, it's curled up like cheap plastic. Please let me know if there is another bronze cord of better material/quality I can replace this with. Thanks so much.

I'd say monkeys designed this but that would be an insult to the monkeys
I have had this installed in a new bathroom for 9 months and want to tear it out everytime I use it!- It leaks.- The pressure isn't enough to effectively use the outer ring of the shower head even when I had brand new higher capacity plumbing installed.- It's not intuitive how to place the handshower back in the ring.- The pressure and hot/cold move together and it's nearly impossible to figure out which way to turn it for hot/cold. Guests are never able to figure it out.

Don't even waste your time using the one it comes with
Giving 4 stars because the hose that comes with it is stiff and cheap plastic. This is the hose I got and is in the photo " Dyconn Faucet HSH25-ORB Stainless Steel Flexible Shower Hose, 100", Oil Rubbed Bronze". Don't even waste your time using the one it comes with. Only had it for about 2 weeks but we like it so far. Decent water pressure. Oil rubbed bronze color is nice and exactly what I wanted.

Definitely not worth paying $$$ for cheap plastic fittings!
I finally got the bathroom finished to be able to install this trim set. I had looked at it when I first received it and thought it would look nice. The instructions said the tub faucet had a "slip-on" option for attaching as well as soldering and screw on. Once it got to the point of installing all the parts I was able to do everything except the "slip-on" tub faucet installation. I went to the orange and blue boxes and asked their plumbers only to be told it needed a set screw which it did not have. I finally called Delta only to be told all the instructions where printed with all the options of installation but not all the trim kits allowed 3 options for installing :-( I now have 2 options, pay a plumber $95 to come and thread or solder the pipe or buy a universal tub spout with a set screw. So for over $100 I got a fairly decent control valve, a cheap plastic showerhead that is so flimsy the wire remains coiled up forever and a tub spout I can't use! I would not recommend this trim kit to anyone and will not buy another Delta product after my call to Delta and their unwillingness to do anything to correct their bad information!

Beautiful addition to my bathroom remodel.
I purchased this trim set for my bathroom renovation. The same set was being sold through the installer at nearly twice the price. Can’t beat Amazon prices! This set looks SO sharp. I love it!! The shower head has many settings. Very luxurious.

Looks nice but it's mainly plastic.
It is ok if you pay between the $100-180 that I did, more than that, go to a full metal version. It looks nice and the showerhead is amazing!

Cheaply made
Bought to replace identical faucet due to the fact when pulling plunger to change from downspout to shower head, lots of water would leak out and not be transferred.Replaced with new parts and still have same issue. All plastic parts are terriblre. Should have went with different brand. Now I am stuck with the same problem I started with. But only out more money.

Overall a nice product, however the faucet is fully plastic which is strange. Have the bathroom faucets and they are metal and much more durable. Had one of these arrive damaged, so there is some concern as to how well these will last.
