Excellent Resource
Lots of details help convey the moves. Great for someone with some experience with short weapons.Novice students found the descriptions confusing and overwhelming. Perhaps a companion video?

very good
This is an in deep description of the form. Good for those who already have some knowledge or practical experience.

32 Jian Dalu
This book is a useful guide to a Jian Form that has many variations; the original of which is a small publication from China with poor translations and very small illustrations. This book is a welcome addition to those whose Forms include 32 Jian. Most Taijiquan practitioners will be aware of the fact that there are two versions of this Form circulating, one being (Mainland) Competition style (as authored by Dr Paul Lam on DVD), and the other being a Yang Family "influenced" Form that perhaps bears more resemblance to a "practical " Jian Form; as in "application guided" rather than "posture guided".Shih-fu Drewe writes of the history and associations well, giving the reader a more historically correct background. The Form is well illustrated throughout but I felt the illustrations are a bit too small, though giving a reasonable impression of each Form's form or posture. A worthwhile book to add to your library if you are a practitioner of Chinese Arts.

As expected!
I have known both James Drewe & Simon Watson for a good few years. Anything that James produces is deeply researched and accurate. He is busy filling a hole in the market that has existed for a long time - good books in English on Taiji.Simon is a world class performer whose body positions and postures are top level. He has been a martial artist for most of his life, in the footsteps of Chinese teachers like Professor Li Deyin, of whom he is one of only three formal disciples. If you are after a first class book on the 32-sword routine, here you have it!

Three Stars
Reasonable but it doesn't indicate which Tai Chi style it is - Wu/Yang etc.

Good book
A good text: well written, complete in basics, accurate and honest, detailed illustrations. A good way, a good reading. I like it.

One and only!
