I have a very old house and oddly, the toilets are Sloan, tankless-style toilets. I've always wanted an automatic flusher since I have 5 sons but I thought they needed to be wired for electric - hard to do in my old house. When I noticed this one, by Rubbermaid, is battery powered, I had to try it.Installation is a incredibly easy and takes less than 10 minutes including opening the box. Literally, you open the battery compartment with the supplied hex key, install the four supplied C cell batteries, slide the unit over the flush handle and tighten the clamps - again with the supplied tool. That's it. Installation is done.You can set the distance range using the manual flush button. Just hold it down for 5 seconds until it beeps and then select the distanceby pressing once for long range of 36", twice for short range of 26" and three times for medium range of 32".I got another model by Rubbermaid that looks and functions exactly the same but is made of metal and is heavier at 2.4 pounds and more expensive. This model is lighter weight (1.8 pounds) because the body is not completely metal but instead, chromed plastic.Just to be clear, this will only work on tankless toilets with flush valves. It will not work with regular, domestic toilets.If you have tankless toilets with flushvalves, this is a great choice because you never have to worry about smells from someone neglecting to flush.

It’s not good to flush

Flushing is such an easy thing. However whether due to inattention, ignorance or inability, it is not always accomplished. I had this installed in my office bathroom and have been impressed. Installation was not time consuming (done in under an hour) and operation is excellent. The sensor is adequately sensitive. it requires no jumping jacks or hand signals to trigger. It is a hygienic solution and seems to minimize odor. The batteries are included and there is a low battery indicator to help insure continued functioning. Overall a good investment.

Seeing these auto flushes at the airports and hotels, I thought they would be difficult to convert from the conventional handles. Boy, what a joy to try this out! It literally took me 3 minutes to convert our urinal handle to an automatic one with this.The unit is mostly plastic inside and out, but looks solid and metallic. I don't know how long it, or the batteries, would last, yet.One star is deducted because there is no manual button like some of those I have seen. Having a manual button will allow you to give it an additional flush just in case you need it. I am about to install one on the toilets that use the same type of flush handles. What if someone finished the job and needed an extra flush? Without the manual button, you'd have to walk out of the stall and come back in to make it flush again.For the convenience, I recommend it!

I figure anything made by Rubbermaid has to be good because I have had some of their stuff for over 40 years and they still look great. I didn't know they even made commercial stuff like this. We used this at a place I work at because it had the handle before and you would not believe how many men and boys don't flush the toilet. This takes care of that problem and it also takes care of the problem of someone catching something from touching the handle (since so many people really don't wash their hands after using the bathroom. Hey, I know if they do or not because they don't turn on the blow dryer!) I'm all for everything in the bathroom being automatic so you don't have to touch anything. This went on easily. You don't even have to turn the water off. Oh, and they are right...it does take care of the odor problem...unless someone misses the whole urinal which happens a lot where I work. Too bad the floor and toilet can't clean themselves!

We have a small business that has bathrooms that are available for our customers to use and we spend a good amount of time and effort in assuring that they are clean and well maintained.The unit is easy to install and includes all of the required parts and batteries. The actual installation was very straight forward took less than 15-minutes from start to finish to get this on our Slone urinal. The unit is adjustable for the triggering settings but we left it with the factory configuration. The unit does have indicator LEDS that let you know when the batteries need to be changed.Highly Recommended!CFH

This item is easy to install but only works on some toilet models. You can't just stick this on a home toilet. It must go on a commercial toilet. It works fine when properly installed. However, it can become loose, if not properly installed.Is it worth it? I would say "yes" because it keeps the restroom looking cleaner by having a fresh toilet bowl, and reducing odors.

First issue, this unit does not have the manual flush button as the advertised unit does. Also I've bought this exact same valve, and it came with adapters for other brands of flush valves. These two I bought DID NOT. and nowhere on this page does it say what valves they are compatible with, except on the box, after receiving package it say, FITS ONLY SLOAN AND ZURN. And it seems this seller has a NO RETURN POLICY on these items.... I wonder why.... 🤔
