There is a reason that Mopar and NAPA rebrand these (I’m sure other brands do too). Wix filters are top-notch. Perfect for a daily or a performance vehicle.

Perfect fit for 2009 Subaru Outback, 4cyl. Wix has been a good oil filter.

Correct filter for EJ22 and EJ18 engines as well -- 23 psi bypass pressure.
This is the correct bypass pressure for not ONLY turbo Subaru motors but also the 1990s EJ18 and EJ22 SOHC engines -- 23 psi bypass valve pressure spec, as stated in the Factory Service Manual. When using the wrong filters (the "correct" ones as said by auto parts stores, which are not actually correct in fact) the oil light will stay on or flicker for an inordinate amount of time. With the WIX 57712 (or NAPA 7712) filters the oil light does not really come on during first start up. Been using these 57712 filters on my 1995 Impreza 2.2 for years and have had zero oil pressure related problems whatsoever.

Fits 2009 Forester 2.5L Non-Turbo perfectly
Fit my 2009 Subaru Forester X with 2.5 non-turbo engine perfectly. Bought this because WIX is one of the few filters that has the same bypass pressure as the OEM filter from Subaru. I had no problems with install and it a good price. You can get Subaru filters on Amazon, which is what I normally get, but they are not available with Prime shipping. This WIX filter was available with Prime shipping. Highly recommend.
