5 stars because case looks GREAT and offers great protection! Might even look better than stock GN4!Pros:Nice TPU case that looks great too. Nice feel, offers better slip protection than stock.Beautiful anodized aluminum bumper that slides over TPU case. Seems thick enough to offer secure drop protection from the pocket. This was the questionable factor for me, after reading the reviews. But looks plenty thick enough and appears to be thicker around the thinner/weaker areas where the case is cut out for the S Pen and charger, etc... Also looks WAY better in person!Buttons appear taped or secured by a fabric to the inside of the aluminum bumper. So far very secure and wonderful tactile feel. You can still feel that "click". They look great alsoAdds very little thickness to phone. Very slim and seems to offer great protection. I feel very confident with it.Great access to all ports, openings, speaker, camera, mics, etc...Protects front screen and rear Camera from surface damageCONS:One mic covered up on Verizon GN4. But no problems with function.Aluminum bumper could possibly be damaged/bent/scratched from a substantial fall or drop. Probably wouldn't look very good with a vicious gouge on the aluminum bumper. So be carefulNot as good slip protection as TPU bumper would be or silicone. Probably would be better grip if the aluminum was knurled. Though that may not look as good... TPU case (ei. the back) has a mat finish, not as grippy as I hoped.OVERALL:I'm very careful with my electronics. Added a flexible tempered glass screen for full protection (and no "halo" effect, btw; go with a flexible tempered glass!). The "otterbox " type cases didn't seem to offer any better slip protection, which is the biggest risk of damage. TPU offers tight fit and soft drop protection. If you're clumsy, get something a little more secure. I've never dropped my laptop Lol! Overall great protection and looks amazing!

I have the Verizon Note 4. This case covers that hole. The other is still open, so honestly, it doesn't bother me.The aluminum is, well, aluminum. Maybe 2mm thick, so be careful not to bend it. The metal is anodized, meaning the 'paint' is bonded to the metal on a molecular level. If scratched more than a molecule or two deep, it'll show, but normal friction won't hurt it a bit.Buttons have a ingeniously simple method of staying in place: a piece of foam glued to the inside of the aluminum frame. I'm sure the foam will degrade after a year or two, but I'll have upgraded again before that happens. Because the method to hold the buttons in isn't plastic or anything thick, the delightful 'click' from the Note 4's power and volume buttons gets translated through to the case's buttons magnificently.The TPU cover itself is nothing extraordinary, but it doesn't need to be. It's high quality TPU - flexible, shock-absorbing, soft, and just grippy enough. NOTE! Aluminum frame should be popped on/off the BACK of the phone, not the front.As for the thickness, it's only JUST thick enough to lift the camera off the table when laying face-up. When face-down, the screen doesn't touch the table, even with my slightly-thicker-than-average tempered glass screen protector. The rim around the front is rounded, making the fingerprint reader just as easy as it should be.S-pen cutout is beveled and just the right size. There is a bit of a point on the cutout from the aluminum frame, but it isn't sharp.Charging port cutout is plenty large enough to fit every microUSB I own - and I've for quite a few.Headphone jack cutout is plenty large enough to fit, well, headphones - or, in my case, a Pressy, with breathing room to spare. Pressy is contained within the frame, but no trouble at all getting to it.No noticeable drop in signal. At all. Aluminum is non-ferrous, and thus highly unlikely to case effect on electromagnetic radiations like cell phone channels.Buy it.Photos taken with my old, abandoned Note 3.

I wanted a similar case and to continue to have QiWireless Charging capabilities. Unfortunately the official Samsung S-Charger Qi Wireless Charging back cover for the Note 4 is toothick to fit almost any of the available cases. The only case that I've found that sort of fits is the Verus IronShield but eventhat is a stretch. If you really want to do it, it'll work, but it also adds significantly to the weight of the phone. The othercases I tried were Spigen Neo Hybrid, Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal (aluminum), and Caseology Bumper Cover and those all failed to fit withthe official S-Charger cover. The good news is that the aftermarket Itian Qi Wireless Charger for the Note4 is thin and light enoughthat it pretty much works with all the available cases for the phone. The only downside I see with the Itian cover is that the poweroutput is rated at 650mA vs the 800mA of the official Samsung cover, so it may charge slightly slower. Certainly if the goal is todrop the phone on the Qi charging pad and leave it there all night, you'll do just fine with the Itian cover. Also it's fine for"topping-off" a phone that's already at least 80% charged during the day, or for maintaining charge level while listening to music atyour desk.I also tried the Itian Qi Wireless Charging Receiver inside the stock Samsung Galaxy Note 4 back cover and I found it nearlyimpossible to get the contacts lined up. Also, this receiver by itself is more expensive than the version that comes attached to aback cover. The Itian back cover is better because it eliminates the alignment issues.For screen protection of my Note 4, I first ordered the "Smart&Cool Your Ideal Ultra-thin Tempered Glass Screen Protector" and itarrived DOA (shattered probably even before shipping) so I ordered a replacement, which I applied and found cracked the very nextday. That screen protector is just too thin and fragile. So next I ordered the "NEWELL Pro™ Ultra-clear Glass Screen Protector HighDefinition Premium Protective Screen Guard" and so far I haven't had any trouble with it (after the first few weeks).I used my wife's yarn scale to take weight measurements of all the cases and combinations and will include that below for yourreference.Because I sought 1) wireless charging, 2) durability, and 3) lightweight, this led me to the combination of the Itian Qi ChargingCover with the Verus Iron Shield. I have one complaint about the Verus case is that the volume and power buttons are a little stiffcompared to the Spigen Neo Hybrid cases. But the Spigen Neo Hybrid polycarbonate cases weighs about the same as the Verus case andis much less durable (I broke the polycarbonate frame on my Spigen Neo Hybrid on my S4 about 10 times and kept having to getreplacement frame). And the Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal case is beautiful and surely very durable but it's also significantly heavierthan the Verus Iron Shield. Incidentally, you actually can use the TPU portion of the Spigen Neo Hybrid Metal case with the aluminumframe from the Verus Iron Shield and everything fits and the buttons work better (not so still and have nice click feedback). Butthat combination would involve paying for 2 cases. This case is awesome. Ill start with my only gripe. The buttons are hard to press. You really have to get some power behind them. Other than that, the case is premium. Why buy such a gorgeous phone if your going to cover it in something ugly. The pattern on the rear of the tpu looks and feels nice. I also appreciate the cool touch of the aluminum. I also like the small ramp right under the heart rate sense. Its functional because it allows for easier access. My headphones fit into the hole just fine, but i could see some shorter heasphones having issues. The 20 bucks this case cost is a small price to keep your investment protected and looking good.Update: I have alwasd heard that metal rimmed cases affect phone reception. This is something I have discovered first hand. This case negatively affects my reception by at least one bar. This is unfortunate because its a great case, and cell reception is not something I am willing to give up. -1 star for the reception issue, and the other for the stiffer buttons.

...when I installed the aluminum bumper I noticed that my signal (AT&T LTE) dropped from three bars to two. After taking it off and putting it back on a dozen times to make sure it wasn't a fluke, I downloaded a signal meter app and verified that the case caused a 7-10 dbm drop in my LTE signal. The tpu portion of the case is 'invisible' - only the aluminum bumper causes the drop.I had ordered the same type of case by Spigen and tried the same thing with it - same result. They are both going back.Be warned - cases containing metal will lower your cell signal.

Awesome case. Looks awesome, feels great. I like the additional weight and grip. I haven't had any issues with the mics on my Verizon Note 4. They may not line up on the metal ring, but the tpu case has extended cuts, so there is space for the mic to listen. Like other reviewers mentioned, the opening where the S-Pen is a bit sharp. Not sharp enough to cut or puncture, but enough to irritate your hand if one of your fingers are supporting the phone from the bottom. I haven't had any issues with the aluminum ring warping or scratching after a drop (yet). I'm sure some of these negative reviewers took the ring off from the front instead of the back (or didn't remove it at all) so they end up ruining it in the installation process.

Update: 05/30/15This case did not hold up too well. aluminum paint chips easily and bends out of shape. I don't use this case anymore and went back to my Tech 21 tactical case.This is my new daily driver. I will use this case over any of my other cases for the note 4. I own a Otterbox defender, spegin hybrid, and tech 21 tactical. This is by far the best case for the note 4. It looks great and feels great. If you are looking for a premium looking at case, this is the one.This is similar to the spegin neo hybrid, but better in every way. The main issue I had with the spegin was the back tpu was slippery, the buttons rattled and were too easily push, and the heart rate sensor never worked. This case address all these issues by having a better tpu case that offers better grip and feels better in the hand. Additionally the buttons are great, not too hard to press but too easily either. I hated the spegin because I would always accidentally press the volume up button and would wake up my sleeping son.The aluminum bumper feels great and makes the case look great. I bought a aluminum only bumper for the note 4 before and it degraded the GPS signal! However this aluminum bumper does not affect any signal whatsoever.

Yea just got this new update of verus case for well a new version, I must say very very nice it's perfect thin light and supper grippy it's like it's stuck in my hands and I love tht cause I'm the original mister butter fingers, but yea receptions well a lot better for me don't have no pblms wht so ever but yea it feels great in the hands the tpu and the frame is nice looking buttons r out their but not to easy to press wich is a plus . Yea I have to get another one or get the frame cause u know I'm gana drop kick this bad boy for sure yea I'm loving it great case and by the way it's never too late to go back and revised a product thts been put out already. Thts a thumbs up to u folks in R&D it's never to late to listen to the customer thks !

Purchased this case for my galaxy note 4. The strip of material under the buttons left the sensitivity for the power button fine but the volume buttons blunt and almost unresponsive. I had to cut a patch for the fabric in the middle of the aluminum border in order to consistently move volume up and down. Overall I expected a clicking and more responsive area over the volume buttons. The rubber section of the case is fine, but the aluminum / buttons were a bit of a deal breaker for me.

Es una muy buen funda. ofrece una excelente protección para el celular, además de que realza la vista del celular.Lo malo que es que con el tiempo la pintura de va cayendo y el marco de aluminio se dobla, pero nada que no se pueda arreglar.
