just received the 11' rod. the box it came in looked like something heavy sat on it for a long period of time, so the box was pretty much trapezoid shaped, i opened it up, everything seemed fine except the first eye on the handle side was smashed. it only had Styrofoam wraps on the eye's and around the rod which will ONLY help against banging and tossing around and such, not heavy weights or being smashed and such. had to do a refund as soon as i figured out the eye wasn't suppose to be that way and then ordered another one in hopes that one isn't going to be damaged... seems like a decent rod but as a few other's have stated, the packaging needs to be way better especially for the eye's... once i hopefully get this one returned and get the new rod i'll update this. UPDATE: got the new rod, this one came in good shape the box looked iffy but not as bad as the first one. did inspect it and everything seems to fine. noticed some very small imperfections, but as long as it doesn't affect how the rod works i'm fine with that. i did take it out to a lake near by to test it casting and such, cast's pretty far. i'm new to surf rods so i'm sure once i get use to it i can launch it ever further. but i was testing 2oz weights with it and it was doing just fine with 50lbs braided line. once i actually get to use it and such i'll update this more.

This was my 2nd rod with berrypro 10'6" four segment but it doesn't feel like it. I complained regarding crack on its epoxy, maybe manufacturing defect that cannot be avoided. Emailed customers service. And it was replaced no doubt i will recommend this rod being not pricey with a very good customer service. Love this rod light and cast like a pro..

I ordered the 9ft spinning berry pro monster surf rod, and the shipping was pretty fast, it came in a big box the size of a tv witch is a good idea if they would have put. Ore than one peace of stuffing paper in it. The eyes where wrapped in plastic and tape and the first biggest eye had a nice rubber protector on it. The rod feels great thin and light but still feels like it will hold up well.. All in all this is a very well made surf rod for the price I am very Happy with it and can’t wait to break it in..

I have two of these rods and they function very well. Long casting distance, sensitive to bites, good quality.

My grandson purchased this bait caster. He loves it. I’m really surprised for as long as it is that. It’s still lightweight. That was impressive. Seems to be very durable. He can cast it pretty doggone good too.

Bought for a beach trip. Held up well. Really liked how small it was able to pack. Felt well made, and held up well over the trip. My friend runs an annual Jetty Tournament in Corpus, and he took me out to the very end of one of his go-to jetty spots, and this was the weapon I had taken with me. We were tossing 3 oz spoons. He seemed very impressed how far I was able to toss this thing. I'm talking about a guy with several records around the state in 5+ bodies of waters. A true fish whisperer. I think it was a good purchase haha.

I purchased the 9' 2 pc rod... great value, no defects. The rod is designed to catch 10 - 40 lb fish. I put a 4000 series reel with 30 lb braid on it, and with only a 1 oz lure... the medium weight fast tip casts really well. With a 10.2 oz 4000 series reel and long rod butt, it's very well balanced. The eyes on the rod are very nice. There's no reason a person couldn't fish Albacore, Amberjack, or Barracuda with this setup.

Handled a 25lb gt no problem. It is a big rod to work. Did have to take a red scotch bright pad to Ferrell for a minute to get it to fit good. No big deal.

I bought 2 previous, 13 foot 3 piece. well made,(2nd picture, shadow hunter) so i bought a 4 piece 12 foot model, lighter action. it fits together well but the top sections (2 parts) has a ribbed texture not smooth like the 1st section or like any other rod ever. not sure what the texture is all about. not sure how it fishes, will update review after Cuba in March..New review,this rod is garbage. 1st attempt, stringing it up, snapped in 2 spots. I’ve been doing this for almost all my life. Junk rod, now they don’t want to warranty it either.
