The Best DIM Product I have Used, Highly Effective
As with all hormone modulators, you should consult a doctor if you are pregnant or could become pregnant. If you are, like me, passed that point in your life and can engage in hormone manipulation to your heart's content, these pills are a gift from God. I take six to eight per day, and the dosage needed for each of you will be as varied as the all of you are, with all of us having different levels of estrogen overload to combat, so my dose may not apply to you or work for you or could be too much. I had a significant estrogen problem when I found this supplement and decided to try it, as a last ditch effort before a surgical procedure I hoped to avoid. At the dose of six to eight per day, three to four twice a day, depending on how I am feeling, I have found my waistline decreasing, my face clearing up, my mood improving, my cycle involving far less pain and far less, shall we say, upset by unpleasantness we estrogen dominant women are all too familiar with. I began with two per day, 25 mg of the pure substance, saw no results, upped to four, saw slight improvement, upped to six and found that is enough for me some days, then used eight and found what I need about half of the time, so between 75 mg and 100 mg works best for me. One woman in my family takes 200 mg for a severe problem and I know a woman who takes one pill, only 12.5 mg for a minor issue and then ups to two or three pills on her cycle, just for a few days each month. Again, we are all different and there is no substitute for trial and error and finding the right dose. And for confirmation of efficacy, when someone died and I fell into a deep depression mere days after I had run out of this miracle substance, I forgot to reorder and didn't take it for nearly three months. I gained almost ten pounds while eating less than I normally do, sometimes not eating at all. It was only when my pants were way too tight that I started thinking about causes of extreme weight fluctuations and saw the empty bottle turned upside down in the cabinet, indicating that I was out and needed to reorder. I ordered immediately, paying for same day shipping, and took twelve each day for two days, then ten for about a week, then resumed eight to six, to clear out as much excess estrogen as I could in a short amount of time. After a few more months of taking it, the weight came back off. DIM is as effective as the many circulating studies have shown it is, at binding to estrogen and purging it from our systems, and the dose you will need is entirely dependent on how much estrogen you need to bind. A good doctor can help with that but so can good old common sense. If you have hormonal acne, abnormal weight gain, mood swings, etc. you will be able to see when you are feeling better and looking better. If you go too far, you will notice problems in the other direction, a loss of femininity, which is a unique feeling, even voice changes. It is easy to find a good dose as you should feel significantly better when most of your excess estrogen is being dealt with and when you are not taking too much of it out of your system. When you feel like yourself, what you recognize as yourself, before the hormone nightmare, stop there and try that dose for a while. Don't overdo it and good luck with your estrogen. Thank God we have access to this stuff. I really used to just eat a bag of broccoli a day, making myself sick, as you actually can eat too much of overly fibrous vegetables and end up binding yourself up and causing malnutrition, and it was never as effective as even the worst DIM product I tried. This is the best.

Be Aware NOT Beware
I've waited two months to write this review. I usually go straight to the 1 star reviews to read all the concerns first. I spent a week arguing with myself if I wanted to experience severe headache, possible "cancer," a messed up menstrual cycle, blah blah. I did more research - all of these are signs you have high levels of the "bad" estrogen. Except for cancer - that I could not confirm with research and if anything, you probably are at a higher risk if you have a predisposition with genetics. I've had messed-up hormones for a while. I originally looked into this after being diagnosed with pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder. Been through countless IUI cycles and two rounds of IVF. I'm 32 and essentially premenopausal. I've had hormonal acne most of my adult life (face, shoulders, chest, arms, back). I also have endometriosis. I am "fit" and exercise regularly/eat for fuel not fun yet, still carry that dreaded lower belly fat that never seems to go away. Week One: I pre-medicated with Excedrin in the morning, Ibuprofen in the afternoon and Tylenol at dinner. I really wanted to give this a shot and still be able to work, not suffer. I experienced the headaches but they were manageable if I kept up on the alternating motrin/tylenol routine. I also discovered that two pills to start was too much. Start with ONE capsule! You will thank me. Had a slight increase in anxiety and mild chest discomfort but nothing I was super concerned about. Week Two: Headaches stopped, no longer needed meds. I even increased to two capsules. Urine was a bit darker - totally normal, don't panic. You are not dying. Energy started to increase and I am not kidding, the lower belly fat decreased slightly. Also - I noticed my neck smoothed out. This may sound strange but my thyroid has always been a tad larger without there being any dysfunction. It has made my neck look "lumpy" for most of my life. Apparently, a lot of the "bad" estrogen can get stored in the thyroid. Only negative - holy cow was I exhausted, so tired. Sleeping better but sooooo tired. Week Three: a week before the start of my cycle. Normally I am irritable, angry, have low frustration tolerance, and essentially feel like murdering anyone that say's hello to me. It was so much more manageable. Another bonus, the freaking arm acne and facial acne started to clear up - the week before my period. Unheard of! I also somehow gained some energy and was no longer tired all day long, actually started to feel kind of wonderful. Week Four: aunt flo came to town. No PMS. I did not experience any extra crazy bleeding or pain BUT I am literally always in pain from endometriosis so I am not a good judge in this area. Sleeping like a rock, acne almost gone. Next Month: everything is still going great. My mood is so much more balanced, my anxiety is less, my head feels clear, my belly fat is essentially falling off. I have energy, I'm not irritable. My frustration tolerance is actually neutral. The weight loss has subsided a bit toward the end of the month. No headaches, no painful cramping or periods, urine is normal, no chest pain, etc. My only concerns: 1) if I actually get pregnant after taking this I will burn down the fertility clinic. 2) I missed one day of taking it and had a massive increase in anxiety and irritability. Almost a panic attack. I see this as positive because I know it is actually helping me. If I ever do decide I want to come off of it, I will be cautious and taper off. Be AWARE, NOT beware! As with any medication, think of it as a messenger, it is giving your body a new message and that always has side effects whether you realize it or not. Use over-the-counter medicines to treat some of those. If it is unmanageable, don't force it. If you can make it through two weeks, it might just change your life.

Perfect start if you don't want to be on birth control for balance.
I didn't want to go the birth control route for my uncomfortable periods and hormonal acne, I started doing research on what supplements I could take to help manage. I've been taking this product now for three months and it has made a difference. The periods and cramping has decreased to a much more tolerable range. Acne has become to clear up. I'm still only beginning my journey on what my body needs, but I have been impressed with this product. I also include vita D , zinc, and magnesium. So if you're looking for a non birth control route, definitely start here.
