Nautos 91025-2 roll Ball Bearing Composite cam Cleat

I bought this for my Pilates reformer, it makes the adjustment of the ropes much faster. Probably works great for boat ion too.

My three eights diameter New England ropes jib sheet slips out of this cleat when subjected to moderate pull. It is supposed to take three eights line, but the springs are too weak to grip it.

Did not work at all. Rope slips right through. Now I have to pry them off and replace with better product.

I purchased a pair cleats to hold the jib sheets (1/4" line) of my 20ft sailboat. They are well made, secure and mounted easily. Adding these to my boat made sail trimming much easier. I will look to Nautos for other sailing hardware in the future.

Nice little cleat for an awesome price. If you have a plastic sail boat you may want to put some backing materiel to screw into.

For the money, these are really good. The old cleats I needed to replace were taller and a little easier to cleat the rope into while sailing, but since I don't sail as much as I'd like, these will work fine. Will see how they hold up over time.

It's complicated. I have a roll of carpet that weighs about twice as much as I do and I have to raise it to the 9' ceiling and lower it again under careful control (don't ask; its a long story). I have a system of sheaves and ropes which works perfectly and these little gadgets hold the weight safely as I raise and lower the weight. So simple and so effective and avoid having to wind the ropes around those awkward fixed cleat thingys.
