A great mp3 player for earbuds!
This tiny (!!!) device onloaded 27gb of mp3s in about 49 minutes. Tiny = about the size and weight of a standard matchbox. Seriously small and light. Most likely cause of death will be leaving it in your pants and throwing it in the wash. Display is miniscule, but easy enough to read and use indoors (outdoor reading of the display is a pain) Tip: if you want to be able to search your library for a particular song or album, make sure your metadata is consistent before loading or you risk having to click or scroll through hundreds or thousands of files. Sound quality is top-notch, with ample power for earbuds, but you'll likely need an amp if you want to direct link this device to your car or home stereo, and I even found it slightly lacking punch even using home headphones (I miss my Zunes!.) It charges quickly through USB and I get about 10 hours of play per charge. This is the basic, inexpensive mp3 player that will handle 32gb of your files (about 400 hours at 320kps, more at lower bitrates) and send an excellent quality of sound to your wired earbuds. I'd buy this product again.

Fragile Clip that Breaks - Great for audiobooks - But the mp3s need to have good metadata.
2023-07-09After less than one year of light use the clip broke, greatly reducing the utility of this player. The plastic plate broke parallel to the hinge line, about 1/4 of an inch from the hinge point.2022-07-27I only use this for audiobooks and it does everything I need. It is small, light and inexpensive and it lets me listen in situations that I would be reluctant to risk my cell phone. As long as I make sure that the metadata (i.e., track no, title and album) are sensible I've never had a problem. If I rely on file names alone everything is a jumble. So get yourself a free metadata editor (e.g., mp3tag) and make sure your metadata are good.Battery life is very good. The resume function will let you hop between books without losing your place in each book. The previous models never worked properly with an SD memory card, so it is just as well that they removed that.My first clip lasted about 10 years. The second gen clip about 5 years old and is still working and this 3rd (?) gen clip is working well.

No lock mode
My 10 year old .mp3 player died and I purchased this one to replace it. I use it daily, 2-3 hours a day during workouts and walking. The SanDisk feels durable and has a sturdy clip for your clothing. It is smaller that others I've had in the past (the purple) and is a good size, a nice display and is very small just about the same as the Sansa in dimensions. It is easy to navigate and learn the features. It comes with a short charging cable. Two things I am disappointed it does not have - there is no option to lock it during play mode. If you accidentally hit a button, you lose your place in the recording. You then have to go back to the beginning and fast forward/ back until you find your place. It also does not display a countdown to indicate how much time there is left in a selection. This was useful to know how much time is left for your play to finish. Overall, the sound is good, battery life was holding up well. The clip broke off a while back, so now I have to hold it.

Junk, don't buy
I really liked this thing for about 2 weeks. . .I can download a blog to audio, and walk around listening to that during the day. And there's an option to speed up the playback when a file is in the book menu. Handy, and useful. And once I got bored with a blog, I'd switch either to radio or an album that I'd installed on there. That's the good. The bad: Battery was advertised to last around 18 hours per charge, from memory. I found I'd start getting about 90 minutes, even after being sure to fully charge it and check under the settings tab/info that the battery was 100% charged. After about 2 months of ownership, the unit has died and won't re-start.I would seem to be inside the manufacturers warranty, but claim involves stating the serial number, which I don't have access to. Maybe it was on the paperwork, but I've misplaced that. So, excellent concept, terrible execution. And I can't be bothered spending 6 hours going back and forth with an AI to figure out how to get it fixed or replaced. Will buy something else, elsewhere next time.

Finally, Audible works as good as on SanDisk clip +
Been using sandisk clip plus for years since I know how to put new batteries in them. I mainly use for audible. But the newer players have had issues. But great news the latest firmware of these clip sport go work great with audible. Looks like all the issues have been fixed. Sandisk Jam also, have 2 of those.Put away my 3 clip plus as they are really old, but still working and bought 2 of these sport go 32gb models. They are perfect! Thank you Sandisk!Works seamless with Audible Windows 10 app. Battery life is good and they charge fast. Refresh rate is fast, unlike the old clip plus.32 gb will hold many books and the graphic display of the book is very helpful. Been using for 6 weeks now, no problems.

Bigger Screen but Smaller Text :(
I had the old 8 gb model before. The screen on this one is much larger, yet the text is smaller and harder to read, with no way to make it bigger. Most of the screen is reserved for album cover pictures. This does NOTHING to enhance the usability. I guess I should have bought another one of the older models. The unit's also slightly bigger, and the headphone jack is exactly where it SHOULD'NT be, on the bottom edge of the unit. It Really interferes with the clip that hold the player on. It's still a good player, but could've easily been a great one. It does play well and loud, and I put 2966 songs in one folder. (I had to use 3 folders in the old 8gb model).
