A: Yes, it's wonderful for cooking French fries in. Suggest preheating the pan. Best part.....re-crisping any left-over fries!

**Q: Has anyone tried to make Texas toast In this pan?   In other words will a piece of bread toast brown or just melt the butter and get soggy?**
A: The pan is not designed to be used with added fats or oils. We do not recommend putting butter in the pan as you asked.

A: It is about average & heavy. It gets real hot to handle & some one with a hand promble, it would be very hard to pick up

**Q: I just received this product and am afraid to use this because this feel like metal. No metal in a microwave. What is this made of?**
A: It depends on the shape of the object.
 Metal can cause arcing and sparking in a microwave, but only if it has a certain type of edge, like a point.
 Carefully designed metal pans can be microwaved...that is why it works! Instead of sending out sparks, it heats up and sizzles your food.

This little pan is perfect for the microwave. My husband and I love to have roasted mixed nuts for snacks. I buy raw nuts at Costco and now I can roast them in the microwave. I heat the pan (as instructed) for about a minute then add a mixture of the raw nuts. I roast them in two minute intervals, stirring after each time. When they are done I add a little butter and salt and let them sit in the pan until cool. The pan cleans easily and the roasted nuts are perfect.
