Use it as a haunted house prop.
I bought it as a prop for the haunted house I worked at every Halloween season. It fits perfectly in a K-Bar sheath. Despite all the things I banged it up against, it's still in good shape. You don't know how many customers ask if it's a real knife. Overall, it's a good item.

Cold Steel Always Seems To Get It Right When It Comes To Their Trainers.
The media could not be loaded. Good training gear is important regardless of the skill that we are practicing or learning. In order to become and stay prepared, especially in a self defense application, getting as realistic as possible is imperative. Within our NTC Method, we focus on a lot of knife training and drilling. There are various tools, in the form of training aides, that need to be used which all depends on the mission at hand. When it comes to rubber training knives, Cold Steel Training Knives, are some of the best that I have used.Recently, I decided to review the Cold Steel Leatherneck training knife which mimics the USMC Fighting Knife made by Ka-Bar. Since I own a couple of Ka-Bars & have them with me in the field, it makes sense to use a training knife that has very similar dimensions. Cold Steel really seems to get it right when designing their training knives to resemble the real blade. I own tanto’s, M9’s, trenchers & other trainers that are made by Cold Steel. After years of use, they are still serviceable and I use them for my personal practice as well as with my students. The rubberized training blades are not always the best choice when it comes to specific training. If I am working with students on disarming & locking drills, I prefer an aluminum blade. But for most soft-work and especially with beginner students, my goto training knives are the “rubberized” Cold Steel blades. The term rubberized can be deceiving. Yes, these training knives bend but they are a tough piece of plastic. You can still cause serious damage to you as well as your training partner so be careful & wear eye protection. If you are in the market for new training knives, take a close look at these Cold Steel Training Blades. They may be exactly what you are looking for.SPECS ON THE COLD STEEL TRAINING KNIVES:Blade Length: 7″Handle: 5″ LongOverall Length: 12″Ideal for solo practice, training, and demonstrationsMade of durable SantopreneSeven-inch blade with 0.44-inch thickness, five-inch handle, 12-inch overall length, and 4.1-ounce weightIncludes limited manufacturer’s warranty; details included with purchase4.1-ounce weightProduct Dimensions: 18.2 x 14 x 1.5 inchesShipping Weight: 1.6 ouncesWatch My Video Review For More Detail.

Excellent for disarm drills and fencing
Very stiff relative to another training knife I have, exactly as other reviews have stated. Still, there is easily enough flex to prevent major injuries. I would reccommend some form of padding for the body, such as a fencing shirt or a sweatshirt with cut sleeves if you're broke like me :D for the most realistic training you will want a mask. The cheaper Boker knife pair available on Amazon may be a better option for all-out sparring with multiple stabs, groundfighting and the like, but this is perfect to drill for knife disarms and knife fencing (thiat is to say, just try to hit the other guy first once. Essentially point-based sparring). DO pick your sparring partner carefully though, I imagine this thing can bruise something feirce if they're not very controlled.I have not had this long enough to comment on endurance. If this review is getting pretty old and I haven't edited it yet, then it hasn't broken for me yet!

This by far is the best fake knife (K-Bar) .. well actually it is the only one I have ever purchased. However, i purchased this to "fit" my KIT... For some unknown reason (like safety, sheesh) some facilities frown on REAL edged weapons when playing AirSoft. So I now have this... On the down side, the tip is thick, like 1/4in thick. I get it, but it is restrictive in my REAL K-Bar sheath. So i chopped the tip off, keeping it blunt of course. I did not want to Troop around with an empty sheath flapping (lame-o) .. some place dictate it has to be BLUE in color... this item is BLACK, but with some colored take Ta-Da it can be blue if the facility I am playing at requires it to be BLUE.... this is exactly what I was looking for

Great training tool!
It’s a great training knife, just be aware that if training intensity is high, it is stiff enough to cause injury. Beginners may be better off using softer foam products even though they don’t last long, then using this one after a little experience. Another great option is to slide a foam tube over the polymer “blade” area of this item if stabbing techniques will be part of the training session. I’ve found that works very well.
