Loved this item but it snapped after 5 uses

Opened it Christmas morning and he handle fell off. Then i tried to straighten the tip as it was bent and the whole middle came apart... i hadn't even used it. I should have kept it and sent it back however i was away at the time and threw it in the nearest bin!
