Better quality decades ago with less technology
These things, are a faby fit, no warmth, nor thick, least these are absent of the usual chemical smell that comes from manufactures from thsi 1st world country. The tag's Materiel is a fabric razor blade right on your lower back, to rub you crazy! The usual tag's that boast materiel type, conditions for washing and to be boast where it's made at.well these ones use a normal font size saying materiel type, then a font a size of, that even blind can read, to make sure you KNOW there are MADE IN CHINA... an you'll get to remember this as your scratched to death by this tag in the back... it'll be a constant reminder making you wonder what the thinking was behind picking and placing this materiel that states materiel and manufacturer, upon the bare skin of ones back. had to cut this and sew up the waist there.Would return these, if it wasnt near impossible to, and costs as much as the shoddy quality one can expect from a country where there culture is literal slave labour!

Good stuff
These are an excellent second layer above some next to skin poly bottoms. They are impressively warm and will wick well with the material and waffle. The bad part is the fit, that's the minus 1 star. The sizing chart is wrong in my opinion and you need a size smaller than you'd think. Although I did not find that to be the case for the top. These even when fitting right in the thigh, butt, and more or less waist are (for my XL) way way too tall. I'm 6'4" and I think my XL's (which I got in exchange for an XXL because the XXL was the right waist on the chart but was like stepping into a trash bag in reality) are probably about 2-4 inches too long in the rise and almost 6 or more inches too long in the inseam. I just fold the extra material up in the leg beneath the knee. There isn't a good way to get rid of the excessive rise because any fold seems to come out with the weight of the crotch. These are way too thick and roomy in the crotch. Unless of course you have a sack the size of a grape fruit. All in all I am please with the product and will use them over a L1, I just thought it was fair to mention sizing and comfort is a little lacking it seems.

Comfortable and Warm
These are warm, and in the legs baggy enough for comfort and tight enough to not be constricting. However the crotch/waist is baggy enough that I could pull it up to my ribcage. Far too much fabric in the crotch and waist area. Like they expect me to be 7 feet tall. Other than that they are cheap and warm, just requires reshuffling to fit the excess cloth.

Pretty darn close to Polartec
OK, so it's not Polartec. It is, however, virtually the same (we have many pieces in Polartec, too). These warm puppies were worth the price. These were greatly responsible for our surviving the winter of '14-'15 in some comfort without ever firing up the house heater. The chinese-made Rothco Level 2 grid fleece (ECWCS Gen III) are closer to the Polartec than their Level 1 items which we are adding to our wardrobe this winter (actually we're getting Level 1 pieces in Polartec, Milliken and chinese Rothco fabrics).

Great Warm Thermals
Great thermals. Wear these while sleeping while backpacking and they keep me perfectly warm and are very lightweight. They pack down very small and are warm for their thickness/weight. Also, they absorb less moisture and odor compared to cheap cotton thermals. The length is perfect as you can stretch the legs all the way down to your ankle. The size was spot on for me. I am about 6'3", 200lbs, and wear 34x34 pants and the large was perfect for me.These are a little bulky, however, and I probably would not want to wear these during the day unless I really needed them.

extra tight/small waistbands
the waistbands are low quality garbage. it's a medium but in reality, they make the waistebands an xsmall so it digs into your side and strangulates your body. the rubbers have no give at all. i would think for the price, they know how to measure. the length of the legs and everything else are perfect. the defects are the extra extra small/tight waistbands.

Not your average "longjohn"
These are super warm. I took the advice from others and ordered down a size , my husband is 5'10 175# wears 33/32 pants and the small size here fit him perfectly

Great quality and very warm.
I used these while in the military and well after I got out, I have friends and family that work outdoors year round and these made a great gift for them. They are very warm without having to sacrifice movement. The two I got these for have been very happy with these and wear them nearly every day.
