Good for Price and Beginners
Very well made, good cables, easy to connect to phone (Edjing) and PC (Serato Lite and Rekord Box), and compact.

Worth it for PC/MAC. Android/iOS development seems to have halted.
I went in with absolutely no DJ experience and a very basic understanding of beats and bars. Ultimately just wanted to see if I could learn to mix music that I like and have fun doing it. Turns out yes and yes, but I have thoughts...I think the price is appropriate for what you get, but the fact that PioneerDJs Rekordbox desktop software doesn't at all interface with PioneerDJs WeDJ mobile app should have been the first clue that they don't take the mobile aspect seriously at all.The iOS version of WeDJ, is the better version of the mobile app. On iOS, you get track key indication (sadly not in Camelot format) and a next track suggestion, which helps getting tracks to mix in key. The app also knows where the different parts of the track are like the intro and the chorus. The Android version side of WeDJ is like a flat Pepsi/Coke. Sure, you CAN drink it... but it's missing most of the good parts. On the bright side, this thing is fantastic when connected to my desktop. Close Chrome, Steam and anything else that might be chewing up resources so you get faster response to button presses. It may be all plastic, but it can take some enthusiastic button pressing like a champ! If you're trying to figure out if DJ is a hidden talent, this isn't a bad way to go. If you hate it, you aren't out big dough and you can get some of it back selling the hardware to the next would-be DJ. If you love it, maybe you end up with something that goes from being a main unit to a mobile or back-up unit to your future upgrade.Last thing I want to say is this. Own your music. MP3, WAV, whatever... it's always there. I would hate to plan a mix only to have my streaming service remove a hot track because a contract ended.

Spotify/beatport? NOPE! NOT ANYMORE!
So, this was fun.-Spotify - not supported-beatport - not supported-Link - not supported.Do I need to continue? Unless you own the music you want to mix, it is pointless. Spotify cut everyone off their services back in June 2020, so it's not Pioneer's fault. However, the device doesn't become more useful by feeling bad for them.As my pappy always said:Poo in one hand, and hope in the other. See which weighs more. Also: Instructions non existent. Suggestions and quick start guides mentioning 4 separate apps and no direction with any of them. Not even the supported eco system (apple/android) information is correct. The non Pioneer apps? Nothing but revenue generation for their respective owners. Garbage otherwise, and unfathomable to the un-initiated.Had to figure out on my own after wasting an hour that it's best features won't work. AT ALL. Also zero info about these free classes that are included lol.Neat.I'm sure this device is great for what it once WAS. Sadly with this software and music situation this device is the poo, not the hope in your hand. It's going back, and sadly my son is bummed as we can't afford to explore this hobby more past this yet.Very disappointed, but such is life.

A Decent Bluetooth DJ Controller with Some Limitations
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-200 caught my attention due to its wireless capabilities. While it has some positive aspects, there are a few downsides that prevented it from meeting all of my expectations. On the positive side, the Bluetooth connectivity feature is convenient, allowing for a wireless connection to compatible devices. This feature comes in handy when you want to free yourself from the constraints of cables and move around more freely while DJing. However, one significant drawback of this controller is the lack of any plug for cable connection. Depending on the situation and location, relying solely on Bluetooth might not always be feasible. In areas with weak or no Wi-Fi signals, connecting the controller via Bluetooth could be problematic, hindering your DJing experience.Additionally, I encountered some usability issues with the SoundCloud integration. When connected to my SoundCloud account, the songs displayed on the screen with very small letters, making it challenging to read, especially in low-light settings. This could be a significant inconvenience, especially during live performances when quick access to song information is crucial.Furthermore, I experienced some stability problems with the SoundCloud app, which crashed more than once while I was DJing. Such interruptions can disrupt the flow of your performance and be frustrating to deal with during gigs or events. On the positive side, the controller itself is well-designed and functions perfectly when used with Bluetooth. The controls are responsive and easy to use, allowing for seamless mixing and manipulation of tracks. The built-in features offer a range of creative possibilities, making it a suitable choice for beginners and hobbyist DJs.In conclusion, the Pioneer DJ DDJ-200 is a decent DJ controller with its Bluetooth capabilities, but it falls short in certain areas. The lack of a cable plug restricts its use in situations where Bluetooth connectivity might not be reliable, and the SoundCloud integration needs improvement to offer a more user-friendly experience. If you primarily prefer using Bluetooth and can overlook the limitations, this controller might suit your needs well. However, for those who require more stable and consistent performance, particularly in challenging environments, it might be worth exploring other options on the market.Overall, the Pioneer DJ DDJ-200 provides a glimpse into the future of wireless DJing, but it's not yet perfect in meeting all the demands of DJs who seek a more versatile and reliable controller for their performances.
