I don't like the shape of my nails - they curve over - so I purchased this builder gel to flatten them out. The photos I've attached aren't the best, but in the first photo you can see how my nail shapes down, and the second where it's flatter. Depending on what you want to use the builder gel for it can be easy to use or more difficult, I'm no professional so it takes me a while to do them, the gel is quite thick but easy to move around your nail, I read somewhere that it helps to cure the nail straight away for 10 seconds to hold the shape - otherwise it does tend to roll back over the nail (creating a slight bulge in the centre of the nail). Once I've done all my nails I wipe them with nail prep and file them smooth - as I'm still getting used to manoeuvring the gel sometimes it's a bit too thick or bumpy so filing helps to smooth it out. Then it's ready for the colour. The gel unfortunately does get a layer of skin across the top when not used (or it could be when it gets cold I'm not sure) so it is hard to use at that point, I don't know whether I'm suppose to heat it up before using it or not. I'd also say it burns slightly under the lamp, the more you use the more it burns, if a thin layer is applied you can't feel anything, but where I use a lot - if my nails are longer and I need more to build on the ends that are curved down it burns for a few seconds. I do like this product for giving me the shape I want on my nails, I would recommend, I'd just say it takes practice using it, and time.

I'm a beginner nail tech, I got the hang of it from the 2nd attempt. Great, easy to work with, easy to file, self levelling gel. It is thick, but it self levels well albeit a tad slow. My only complaint is that the company did not disclose their ingredients neither on amazon nor on their own site. They told me it is available on the pot. That's not a proper way, but ok. Also, It's so sad watching peope try to use it like gel polish, my eyes bleed. That's the problem when a professional products are available to everyone. Others do not replace the lid and cure their nails with the pot open, of course it'll go hard, it cures with the UV or LED light. Leave it open in the sun it'll cure solid as well. Or people who keep the pot open whilst prepping the nails - it'll fill with the dust! Please either go do a course or take yourself to a professional.

Easy to use, strong and hard wearing however it’s like it air dries? So after i take A scoop I have to put the lid straight back on between doing each nail..

Only used it once yet, but loved it. Easy to apply, levels itself nicely and the colour is gorgeous!

Brought this about 2 years ago and couldn’t remember why I didn’t have it. Thought I’d give it a go again as I normally use Mylee builder gel - this one came in a pot and was better and bigger value. I remembered it was more of a thicker gel consistency, which is more difficult to work with, but as I’ve been doing my own nails for a few years I wasn’t put off by it… I also wouldn’t say it’s particularly beginner friendly either. Turn out, I threw it away because it’s complete and utter rubbish! Spent two hours (two separate times) using this builder gel with completely correct nail prep and adding uv cured gel varnish on top, only for the complete nails to ‘pop’ off after roughly a few hours! The nails that didn’t pop off completely were already peeling. For a second time this will now be disposed of, and I will certainly remember not to buy it again. Buy cheap, buy twice. Mylee certainly lasts a lot longer (even with my swimming regime). Bluesky was not worn on a swimming day, I’m a stay at home mum with the usual household chores of a family of 6 with a dishwasher, so no mountain of dishes washed in the sink (in case anyone wonders if the water involved is linked to the peeling and popping aspect). It’s a hard no from me.

I'm surprised how well this product turned out to be, every now and then I get thr urge to do my nails with gel, I always end up regret it. It's still better than most salons though. Anyway this product levels well, cures with my little lamp and hasn't chipped or lifted in thr past 3 days of swimming.
