I love this brass desk light. It is a substantial size and well worth the money!

The lamp is nice looking, good quality. The only problem , and some have mentioned it, is the base is too light weight, and the fixture will tip over if extended too much.

Although I had to return the lamps as they wouldn't work for my project, I think they are of good quality.I bought them to put on top of bookshelves to light up my book case display. (Think picture or library lamp.) The problem was when I extended the light part forward or down it would tip forward. Too high to stand up right.If you intend to have the light bulb part pretty much upright I think these would work. I still recommend this product. Very well wrapped and shipped. Also the base and shade adjust.

I bought this to be a lamp on my beautiful Chippendale desk since it looked vaguely period appropriate, and I adore it.The shade's a little short for a standard bulb, so I found some short amber glow bulbs, and now this lamp stays on pretty much all the time. The two points of articulation are solid and allow the angle to be changed, so it's perfect for reading late into the evening or as a bedside lamp if you don't want to flood the room with light from a ceiling fixture.It arrived promptly and the brass looks gorgeous.

Luv , perfect size use on table next to bed to read,pretty enough for bedroom.
