Microwaves excite the water molecules in food or liquids to rapidly heat them and oil has little to no water content so, at best, the microwave is a very inefficient way to heat oil, and potentially dangerous because you can seriously burn yourself as the container will get very, very hot. That disclaimer aside, it's possible because the container will get exceptionally hot thereby warming the oil within, but I do mean exceptionally (dangerously) HOT. TLDR: Possible? Technically, sure. Recommended? Never.
