🔭 See the Stars Like Never Before!
The Tele Vue Nagler Type-6 13mm Ultra Wide Field Eyepiece offers a remarkable 82-degree field of view, designed for serious astronomers seeking high-quality optics. Its compact 7-element design, enhanced with blackened lens edges and anti-reflection threads, ensures maximum contrast and clarity, making it a must-have for anyone looking to explore the cosmos.

You get what you pay for.
This is indeed a true Nagler. That other review is simply nonsense. This is an excellent eye piece. It gives flat crystal clear views from edge to edge. I've compared it for a couple weeks now (weather permitting) to a 17 mm high quality plossl I have and there is an obvious improvement in image contrast and detail. Even when used with a long focal length telescope to give high magnification the view seams expansive because of the super wide 82 degree field of view.Great build quality, solid and meant to last FOREVER.This eye piece will cut out a fraction more light than a high quality plossl due to the higher number of lenses (more glass = great chance of absorption of photons) but it's barely noticeable and worth it for the larger field of view. This is now my favorite eye piece, with a 24 mm Panoptic, and Televue 2X Barlow I hardly feel like I need any of my other 11 eye pieces.Spend a little more and get the best, but I understand that $300 is a lot to spend so only you can decide if the benefits are worth the premium price.

It's good.
This is a great eyepiece, I have many other lesser quality eyepieces and of course I was expecting a huge improvement over them....while it's better, this was very expensive.

Great eyepiece
As a lifelong amateur astronomer focused on visual and telescopic observing, this is a great eyepiece! Clear, good quality, exceptional. A good eyepiece is worth it's weight in gold. Since I have been upgrading eyepieces I have re-energized my observing with my 25 year old SCT 8" telescope! Well done Televue and Agena Astro.

Not a Nagler,,, but still an ok lens
This is a good lens..... But it's not a Nagler. Note: it does not say Nagler on the side of the LENS. "Al Nagler" is the creator of the lens and he put his name on them.

Excellent mid-power Eyepeice
This Nagler 13 mm is the perfect eyepiece. It is lighter and more compact than it's predecessors yet provides the same top-notch performance and 82 degree Apparent Field of View as all Nagler Type 6, and still in a 1.25" form factor! A real joy to use and highly recommended.

Breathtakingly beautiful
This replaced a cheap Plossl that came with my 8" Dobsonian. The difference is *amazing*.

Very wide field in a mid-focal length eyepiece
Ignore the fake review by MillageMusic who obviously has never owned or had the eyepiece. (Apparently Amazon has become comfortable with obviously bogus reviews that it used to remove.) This is a standard 82 degree field TeleVue Nagler Type 6 and is proportioned and functions similarly to the other Type 6's I own. Yes, unlike that fake review that Amazon won't remove despite repeated notifications and multiple confirmations by other reviewers and commenters familiar with the eyepiece, it indeed says "Nagler" on the side.I purchased this one as a mid-power planetary eyepiece for use with a large Dobsonian at about 192x, since the seeing here is frequently limiting to this level. It performed as anticipated for Mars, Saturn, and Jupiter. If there is a negative it is that there is more off-axis lateral color apparent on bright objects than in the shorter focal length Type 6's such as the 5 or 11mm. I would give it a 4 except for the bogus 1 star review.
