The quality of this pepper mill is outstanding. After a year’s usage, pepper is still ground well. There are settings for different coarseness, to suit your preferences. The wood finish is still holding up after daily usage.

Recommended through Wirecutter and I am so pleased with this peppermill! Perfect size and I love the way the bottom is marked for fine grind to coarse grind. The fine grind black pepper tastes so wonderful...very much like European White Pepper...earthy! Wonderful!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I chose this because a reputable website recommended this item to its readers. However, mine doesn't seem to work. It doesn't grind the black peppercorns very well. No matter what adjustments I make to its dials, it doesn't grind much at all. It takes a long time to grind out a teaspoon of pepper. It is a beautiful looking grinder. I hate that I wasted my money on such an expensive dud. I am sure I ended up with a lemon.

provide great uniform grind size and flexible adjustment, but sometimes the peppercorn gets clogged inside and requires clearing. I would have to shake it to loosen it or dump them out and fill them back in to unclog, but it's not common

This is a handsome grinder that produces a very fine powder. I use a different pepper grinder for cooking, but this is my first choice for grinder that goes on the dinner table.
