Blue Microphones Yeti USB Microphone Blackout Edition and Elgato Game Capture HD60

The Blue Yeti Blackout is a great USB mic. It's easy to install by literally being plug-and-use, no drivers necessary. It looks slick with the all black design. The stand is heavy and sturdy, and the build quality of the mic itself is impressive. Not a single thing about the Yeti feels cheap. It's got more functionality than a lot of USB mics around its price range, with the ability to switch to 4 different record settings. I have a pop filter and wind screen on their way, but even without them the quality was great once I found the right settings in audacity. I bought mine used, but it was in fantastic condition, a small scratch on the mic grille notwithstanding. It's hardly noticeable itself, but with the windscreen is on it'll be non-existent. Once those accessories show up, I'll be in business.

This is a good average mic to kickstart into vocal recordings I love that you can listen with headphones in real time, and it's a VERY good mic. My only complaint with it was that the cable broke really easily due to the design of the stand but it's easily replaceable. It was a nice long cable too which was good.
